Pink lipstick for light spring

Can anyone recommend a pink lipstick for me, I'm a light spring palette.

I want something that's more pink than a nude but not hugely pigmented because they overpower me. It needs to be quite a fresh tone, quite light, neither too warm nor too cool. Finish needs to be creamy or satin I think.

I've been looking for ages but can't find anything right! Most are too dark or bright or brown/nude for me. I feel like a pretty pink lipstick shouldn't be so hard!

Have you tried Revlon Pink in the Afternoon? It's a pretty light, peachy pink shade. I think it's what Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I find it very easy to wear even though it's not really a cool colour and I have cool colouring.

Ooh thanks I'll have a look at that

If not go down the Boots No7 route. They can test you for colour and give you some swatches. There were some surprises in my swatches but for the most part spot on! I am a self diagnosed bright spring!

Mac Please me is a great pink. Unfortunately it's a matte lipstick but it's also available in a lip gloss.

I had the same search as you and I'm happy with Guerlain Kiss Kiss in 368 Baby Rose.

Oooh great suggestions thank you!

try nivia pale pink lip balm in rose, its lovely and gives a sheer pale pink color to the lips, and added bonus its only £2 .😊

I have the same struggle!

I have a few coral and peachy lipsticks that are good but pink ones are really tough.

I do like Laura Mercier Nude Nouveau for a nude pink shade but not sure if that's too neutral?

Charlotte Tilbury, pillow talk

Clinique pink honey. Doesn't suit me as too cool toned pink but sounds like it would suit you.

Oh just seen this is a zombie thread Grin

I'm still here and still looking for the perfect pink lip 😂

Difficult isn't it because they look so different on the lips
You could try Clinique " bare pop" its a warm toned pink though and I'm cool toned
Blush pink in dramatically different lipstick by Clinique might suit too

touterustome · 25/11/2024 18:19

It's very hard. I have to find pinks that are completely neutral, neither too orange nor too blue, not too bright and not too brown 😂 I think I have tried that Clinique pop one and quite liked it

I know exactly what you mean. I was looking for a brownish nude but all of them looked orange and I actually found Cool dark Fuschia shades suit me( Clinique punch pop and sweet pop)
My lips appear mauve naturally
There is a site called Temptalia where you can search for shades and brands

touterustome · 25/11/2024 20:06

Oh yes I already spend far too much time on temptalia 🤣 my lips are naturally quite red which complicates matters

I've just looked at Mac
There is a shade called Angel which is in their frost lipstick range

nivia rose lip balm, gives a hue of pretty pink , i just go over lips with a light brown liner first, and it gives a pretty browny pink when you put the lip balm on top...nivia rose lip balm £2 so a win win. x as all mentioned cost alot.
