Colours on your bottom half

I haven't shelled out for colour analysis, rather used an app/online questions. But it's come out as soft autumn, low contrast - I need colours that aren't too saturated/cool. Sounds fair enough to me. I realise I need to move away from black, but what do other people do about stuff like black trousers/skirts?

Do you carry on wearing black bottoms, as it's not near your face? All my boots/shoes that aren't trainers are black - is it going to look jarring to wear tops in "my" colours and carry on with black trousers/skirts and shoes for work? What about tights? Say I bought a nice dress in a green or burgundy or something that won't make me look like a hag... will black tights look mad?

I would like to look stylish and this is a difficult one for me!

Black bottom half but not top half is what I do.

Over time lose the black bottoms if you can. Black sucks the life and warmth out of warm colours and it looks better to have colours that tone better such as navy and chocolate, so the whole ensemble works. I don’t have any black shoes/boots after many years as an Autumn. I do still have some black jeans, but I tend to get slightly faded ones. And I wear them with brown/tan boots.

I think it's the colours around your face that matter. Black tops drain me but black bottoms aren't a problem. Nearly all my trousers are black. I would just focus on your top half OP.
