I am a bag addict but particularly love seeing well worn, squashy bag or backpacks (I also love seeing people 'in the wild' with their planners or diaries-am I sad?)
In the spirit of the 'show us your engagement ring' threads -anyone fancy a 'show us your bag' thread?

This is my favourite ever bag. I bought it In Florence in a real old fashioned leather shop opposite the Bargello in 1992. Because it is unstructured all sorts of things fit inside it. It has a key pocket and a central zip compartment for wallet.

DH puts some sort of magic cream on it every year to keep it supple.

Can't stop laughing at DHs magic cream. What on earth does he do to your poor bag!!

These are my current rotation. A roomy Isabel Marant canvas tote I use for work in the office days, and Oroton (Australian brand) & Marc Jacobs cross body bags, which I love using when out & about because they leave my hands free. I have a lifelong obsession with bags & have a huge collection of old, new, luxe (for me) and cheap & cheerful.

Love Oroton. Great quality at that price point.

Loving this thread! I love how handbags can be like a little extension of home, in a way...all your important things in one place, the familiarity...I especially love the bags people have had for many years like a PP's 1992 Italian bag.

Here's mine - Fossil.

My all time favourite ever bag was similar to the Loewe above. It was from BHS and would be mid 90s. It was a tapestry one with brown leather trim I also had the same shape in a patchwork leather all browns. I so regret getting rid of them and look on vinted /ebay occasionally but have never found one 😓

These are the two I've used this week. My Bayswater (2016 - when it was first launched as the 'new' Bayswater under Johnny Coca) which I'm glad I bought when I did as the Bayswater has returned more towards the heritage style nowadays. It is cumbersome though so gets put away again after a few uses.

And my new Elleme Vosges, which I'm very pleased with as it fits loads in - I always seem to gave loads of stuff with me. I think Elleme bags are really lovely and like that you don't see too many about.

My Whipping Post Standard tote. Full grain gorgeous leather that every scratch, scuff, stain and patina will tell a story.

Thus is lovely and I may have to get one. Did you pay much tax on it?

RicciardoPerez · 25/03/2023 14:18

Love my Neverfull. Treated myself to the matching purse last week.

I use the matching pouch that comes with the bag as a little clutch bag if out for dinner.

Work bag.

@Catspyjamas17 I've been looking for a work bag just like this! May I ask where it is from?

My3cents1 · 25/03/2023 16:07

@EnoBaby
I purchased mine in the states. If you're in the Uk it’s 20% tax . That said rn they have 20% off. You wouldn’t regret it

Totally love bags but not into expensive or designer. I mostly move between three bags

Brown leather for work, my most expensive ever at £150

Black Uniqlo crossbody that most people hate for weekends/holidays

And orange Acessorize tote bag for summer. I dress mostly in black/navy/dark green/dark red so this bag is a real pop of colour for me but I love it.

I use other bags in between sometimes but they're my three main ones.

Love the leather work bag. Where is it from please?

I have something similar that I bought about 10 years ago in a market in Verona - I think it cost about £60. Sometimes the fixings holding the straps come off but I just screw them back on and hey presto good as new!

I own four bags/sacks, the youngest being 2 yrs old. The Marcie mini is about 8 yrs old, the White Co tote was free, lol.. I'm not a fancy bag person, so these work for me and my lifestyle very well. I am possibly not going to fit in well here Grin

What is the bag hanging on the left side of the unit? I love that one

It is a BdG Silky City. I have the Tigre. It is a great under the radar bag. My everyday though is a GP.

NeedWineNow · 25/03/2023 17:04

This is my type of thread! I love bags and have a huge amount of them from designer to Primark with everything in between.

I was out shopping today and took a small Longchamp Le Pliage as it's easy to throw over my shoulder and is surprisingly roomy.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 25/03/2023 17:07

This is my current favourite, nice and bright and just big enough for the essentials! Grin

Love this, is In Coccinelle?

This is the same as/similar to my own Elvis and Kresse tote. (Cba to get up and take a pic) Made out of recycled fire hoses. Years old, helps charity and I love it. Look them up. Amazing 🤩

@seratoninmoonbeams i absolutely adore this! Amazing website thanks!

EraOfTheGrey · 25/03/2023 19:14

These are mine. I have this black bag from Kate Sheridan which is about 5 years old and I also have 3 leather cuir Longchamp le pliage bags in different colours and sizes.

My daily is a bag from cocopups because I'm usually walking my dogs
