Hi All. I have lost a lot of weight , more than 10 stone but I have no idea how to dress. Honestly I have never had any style and just got dressed and that’s it, but I would love to dress nice and look nice and put together not like I have got dressed in the dark! Would any one be able to point me in the right direction for help, pages to follow on instagram any help would be greatly appreciated. I am late 30s a size 12, bottom half heavy. Thank you in advance!

Join Pinterest OP and type it what kind of things your like or own already. For example if you like wide leg jeans then type in wide leg jeans outfits and pin the looks you like and then maybe think about how you could recreate the look with either things out of your own wardrobe or a combination of old and what you might need to purchase. Well done on the weight loss! Charity shops could be your friend in terms of a low cost way of experimenting with your style.

Thank you I had never even thought about Pinterest I have used it for arts and crafts but never fashion. I have no idea what suits me what I like, I wish it was easy! That’s a good idea, I’ll go and have a look in the charity shops this week, thank you.

Congrats - that’s some achievement 👏 On instagram here’s two to get you started. If you find some instagrammers who are your cup of tea, the algorithm will send more your way.
thesilverkat (casual, fun)
lydiajanetomlinson (classic)

What do you like wearing OP? I think it’s a combination of what you like wearing and how you style it! Jeans and a t shirt can look stylish with tweaks here and there and great accessories!

@Whereismyplate It will take a little time to get used to your ‘new’ body so be easy on yourself. You’ve done the hard part the clothing is meant to be the fun, icing on the cake bit!

Wow, that is incredible weight loss, well done! I struggle massively with my weight and I’m in awe of you.

To help give the right advice, can you tell us what you need to dress for? For example, you a SAHM or working in a corporate environment? And what sort of style are you drawn to? Anyone whose style you admire?

Try clubfortyclaire on insta. I'm not yet 49 but she has good tips. She'll do a video showing the same item styled 3 ways and explain how one way is the most flattering, and what's unflattering with the other ways.

Thank you all so much. I have followed a low carb high protein diet. It has been worth it cutting out the bread and pasta for a while. I work in an office environment but I just want clothes for work and every day clothes for home. I will check that instagram out than you. I like the style of people like Emma Willis not too out there or dressed up just looking good!

I lost 4 stone on low carb high protein but couldn’t keep it off. I need to sort myself out and get back on it and I know it works!

I think Emma Willis has a collection at Next, have you looked at that? Otherwise Hush might be worth a look for wide legged jeans, knitwear and blazers which are relatively classic but modern.
