Recommend me a new mascara please?

I have always wore Lancôme Hypnose in brown since it was launched years ago and haven’t tried anything else. I went to order another as mine has run out and cannot justify £29 for a new one. Has anyone got any recommendations for around the £16-£20 budget? I do like brown rather than black, I’m a very pale ginger with small almond eyes so black mascara tends to overwhelm me. Tend to go for the no makeup - makeup look.

thanks!

Do you want tubing or non tubing?
If you want non tubing do you want waterproof?

Clinique lash power in brown? - its a tubing one with a very natural look. Often on offer for about £20.

Non tubing and no to waterproof (it seems to sting my eyes if its waterproof)

I used to buy expensive ones, years ago I stopped and bought cheap ones from superdrug because their cruelty free.

The only mascara I’ve used that was rubbish was maybelline great lash.

Currently I’m using a waterproof one from essence.

As I mentioned in another post - Eyeko Black Mascara Cocoa edit. A lovely rich brown!

Are you @ecology1989 a John Lewis member and have a JL near you? If you join then you can take part in their beauty cycle scheme where you take five
empties back ( like mascara tubes and shampoo bottles) and get five pound off a beauty purchase in store. Could be worth looking in to if it saves you the hassle of trying different ones when you could get your favourite slightly cheaper. The full list of the empties they will accept will be on their website somewhere.
