Why is it so impossible to find jeans

All I want is a pair of slim (not skinny, not straight) jeans, probably crop or ankle length, high rise. In a nice blue colour that doesn't look gross and cheap (looking at you M&S).

Why is this so hard? All I can find are loose jeans, mom jeans, skinny jeans, mid rise, or too stiff or tiny pockets that make my bum look massive. I've tried M&S, H&M, Zara, mango, river island, cos, I can't even remember where else.

I'm a size 12.

Argh!

I'm currently wearing "High rise flared jeans" from River Island. They're not very flared and are the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. Mine are size 8 which I have to say has come up very big!

I know what you mean about the colour. These are dark indigo. I'd like some more casual ones but am finding that difficult.

Have you looked at the latest Levi styles? The 312 might suit? Not sure if they’re high rise though, or what the shade selection is like.

Very have slim high rise jeans - ‘the Isabelle’ - online, but don’t know if they’re nice in RL.

M&S Sienna Supersoft

Next ? Their slim leg jeans are lovely and very soft.

Depending on budget I would probably look at Levis or Lee. Or Esprit.

Finding good jeans is so random.

last few years I’ve been getting jeans from Hobbs. initially saw them at John Lewis concessions, otherwise I’d never have thought to look at Hobbs.

Gap High Waisted Vintage Slim Jeans They have them in a darker blue too.

Also echoing Levi's, with the variety of styles, fits and length you should be able to find one that works for you. They also last forever, unlike the jegging material that loses its shape after a while. If you have a store near you, would recommend going in to try different styles and sizes, you can then find deals online.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I've tried next and not liked them but haven't tried Levi's or gap recently. I will track some down...

I’m loving fatface denim at the moment, loads of styles.

Shampern · 26/02/2023 16:56

I'm happy with Boden for good quality and colour.
