Crocs sizing help please

Hi, I want to buy a pair of the brightly coloured Crocs online (similar to the photo) to wear for gardening. I haven't bought any for at least 10 years.
So I usually wear a shoe size 7 or 41 in most footwear. Size 40 can be a bit snug. I'd prefer the Crocs to be half an inch too big rather than too snug.
Should I buy 39/40 or 41/42 as I recall them as being quite generously sized, but that was years ago. Can anyone advise me please?

The last used to make Crocs varies depending on where they are made. I believe that Mexican produced Crocs tend to be narrower, but that’s from years ago. Are there any reviews that comment on sizing to help you choose?

@Craftybodger thank you. The reviews aren't very helpful, I've trawled through loads. I can remember buying a pair many years ago but can't remember what size.
I don't really want to have to fork out for 2 pairs to get the correct size but thinking I might have to.
