How long does your Botox last?

I've had Botox done for the first time recently and very happy with the results. I did have to go back for two top-ups to get the amount right. I have a very expressive face and often scrunch and tense my brow while I sleep.

Anyway, I'm wondering how long I can expect my Botox to last? 3 months? 4, 5? Will my expressive face and brow scrunching reduce the amount of time it works?

I think you'll lose that excessive face scrunching ability. A professional will be along soon but I am told approx 3-6 months. More likely 5-6. I've not taken the plunge yet as I am worried about recurring sessions and increasing cost but I am starting to look worn.

I’ve found mine wears off differently in different parts of my face.
Had my first Botox in December, smile lines around the eyes have returned, 11’s and forehead are still smooth.
I’ve got a lot of expression in my eyebrows, which I like.

I’m 48, started getting Botox at 35, then it used to last 9months, now it lasts around 5months. I find, that I need to be completely’frozen’ for it to last longer.

I'm 53, I started botox at 38. It used to last about 5 months. I didn't get it done at all for about 2 years around covid, now it lasts about 4 months. It usually doesn't last as long when you first get it done, and over time the effects last longer.

How much does a session of Botox cost approximately?

Piffle11 · 26/02/2023 20:40

Mine usually lasts between four and five months. I have it in my forehead, crows feet, and between my eyebrows… The bit between my eyebrows it seems to last much longer than the rest. I'm 53. I don't like to look 'frozen', so always make sure I have some movement whenever I have it done.

Mine costs £250 for 3 areas, with a qualified nurse.

Mine lasts 3 months. If you do a lot of exercise or have a high metabolism it wears off more quickly I think. But people vary.

I also have an expressive face and think my first one wore off around 4 months, then as I got used to not moving my muscles each subsequent go has lasted much longer. I was last done in July and really noticed it needed doing this month.

gennay · 26/02/2023 22:33

Mine lasts up to six months. It only lasted 3-4 months initially but lasts longer, and works more quickly each time.

I also exercise a lot, but not in the 48 hrs after the injections.

£200 three areas
