Bikini wax ingrown hairs

I've been having bikini waxes for years but during the last six months I've experienced horrible ingrown hairs. They turn into welts - sorry is TMI - and I wonder what's the point in being waxed.

Should I just shave instead? Or is there a solution?

I use Skin Doctors Ingrow Go lotion, i use a cotton ball and rub onto the area. Its been good so far....

I switched to a lumea and just zap every few weeks- hardly anything grows now just an odd hair here and there. Expensive but one of the best purchases ever.

Change salon, sounds like bad technique snapping the hair that is then trapped under the skin rather than pulling it clear out.
I use a gentle exfoliating glove, then some aha body lotion from Paula's choice when I get the odd few and works a treat.

Another vote for skin doctor.

Sounds like techniques. I regularly have a full wax and rarely get ingrown hairs

Im am beginning to wonder about trying Lumia after posts in MN...just not sure how easy it would be to get all the bikini area and underneath fully without asking DH to help

I've been thinking about getting a Lumea for stew, maybe now's the time to do it.
