Miracle skin in three weeks- help!

hairycabbage · 25/02/2023 15:40

I have a big event in three weeks time and my skin is just meh- dry in places, oily in places, occasional spot and generally tired looking.
My skincare routine is washing daily with warm water and facial wash and a day moisturiser each morning, sometimes an eye cream but somewhat lacking...
I don't have a huge budget but willing to try a few products to help me glow on the day- any help would be much appreciated!

Perricone 3 day diet and no alcohol.

I wouldn't go using lots of new creams in case they cause a breakout. But make sure you drink plenty of water, 8 hours sleep min, cut out alcohol and sugar, use facial scrub and moisturise, take collagen supplement or omega 3.

Oh and exercise! I've been doing this the last 2 weeks and noticed a difference.

Facial massage too! I've also started eating Brazil nuts 3 a day apparently this is really good for skin but I will see!

No sugar, no dairy, no booze.
Don't overdo the creams and products.
Keep it simple!

Have a peel at a salon if you can.

If you can get a clearlift. It’s a laser facial and leaves skin glowing. (Disclaimer - it isn’t cheap but lots of places offer a cheap first one)

If you want to just do a bit of a kick start, I would start with a hyaluronic moisteriser and/or serum at night and a vitamin c serum and possibly moisteriser by day. The hyaluronic acid will help with dehydration and the vitamin c helps to liven up the skin and protect it.

A good peel could help, too. I am a fan of the clarins facial peel but there are a lot of products you could try.

Icerall, a good cleanser every day, moisteriser both nuggets and day and a fee key ingredients to get things moving.

Smoom face floss is amazing! Got rid of my redness, very gentle. The glowing reviews on their website are genuine. I heard about them on TikTok

Would help if I provided a link!

Thank you all!
Diet is ok, I drink lots and lots of water and usually get enough sleep, plus not really a drinker so hopefully the basics are right.
Off to investigate, have booked in for a facial to start it off. Fingers crossed...
