Sale everyone !!!!!!

Brilliant, thank you!!

AmethystMoonShine · 23/03/2023 14:33

Thank you @Countmeout
After a few months of not buying and trying to sell things I’m not wearing… I cracked!
I’m trying the Pea coat that @Laska2Meryls won, a wool base layer top and a pair of green trousers… which will probably not work but thought I’d try.

TempleofZoom · 23/03/2023 14:46

I cracked as well @AmethystMoonShine 😁
Loop back jersey top and trousers in Midnight
Francis tee in putty/mineral blue
Organic poplin top in Ochre ( have all 3 colours now)
Panelled Organic Indigo dress

Still hankering after the check dress and some pyjamas but will save them for now.
Also purchased 2 pairs of seersucker trousers from Uniqlo and a denim skirt from Community clothing.

It's a lovely spring day here and looking forward to sunny days ahead 🌻

That is very nice @Laska2Meryls I like this kind of 'dark mint' shade of green Toast are using. Having said that I find Toast colours can be quite different to what I see on my screen.

Not sure if you saw my question on Article Green? Did you like the items you ordered and how did you find sizing? They have a sale on and I am tempted!
All sock lovers - have you seen the socks on Genevieve Sweeney?
Those Sezane dresses are really pretty @Saurus72

MaroonedOnADesertIsland oh no sorry I missed that.... I have bought a couple of pairs of trouser full price from Article Green, but each time have requested an alteration in the waist as I tend towards Apple in the middle 😥. But I tried the ready made Charlie trousers from her sale and sadly had to send back as they were far too small in the waist .. I would say from that one experience, that it would be true to size .. But the owner/ designer ( Ti Green) is good at answering email questions so I would suggest that you ask for the actual measurements.. I also found that the one time I sent back ( although I had to pay postage, which I thought was only fair as they are a tiny company) it was refunded in days..

It is a very small company I think just her and some outsourced seamstresses so if you want changes etc you get pretty much personal service..

Laska2Meryls · 23/03/2023 14:59

Ooo a sale? ....🏃

Dee1224 · 23/03/2023 15:05

Thanks@CountmeoutI have done an order!

Inspired by @Laska2Meryls lovely shirt/jacket I am dipping my toes into a Toast jacket for the first time- will see how it goes. I also ordered the blue cord dress, (having almost kept the Earth colour version in the January sale, but everyone I showed it to disliked it, except me!)

I have also ordered a few other things to try. I wish Toast had sales instore - I always feel guilty if I have to order then return!

Dee1224 · 23/03/2023 15:10

On a related note: I see that the Fairisle woolly tam/beret is back. I love mine so much that I almost bought another just now in case of loss, but restrained myself!

Countmeout · 23/03/2023 15:14

I got one of the cashmere jumpers in truffle ( brown😳) @faustina . I’m thinking it’ll be a layer on a cold summers day with the ogee culottes. The colour may not work in the flesh. Also my birthday nightie and my daughter can return the full price one. And on impulse the cashmere scarf in pear. I’ve never seen these reduced and I was thinking of all the uses I put it to this morning in bed as I cuddled into one. Extra layer in bed, scarf, picnic blanket, blanket for a snooze, shawl if I get up on a cold morning, wrapping grandchildren etc etc.

I love that coat @Snowyowl78 . It’s wonderful in the flesh. If I hadn’t bought a coat this winter I’d have bought it.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2023 15:27

Well i bought 3 dresses. The olive check [like the aubergine one] The beautiful oversized blue one [ I have that in navy ] and have worn it loads. The denim pinafore dress in a 12.

Stoic123 · 23/03/2023 15:38

I've gone back in and I'm going to try a couple of sweaters: the Rae in Jade and the Fair Isle Yoke in Bitter Chocolate.

@Snowyowl78 - the linen panelled dress has arrived and I love it. It is longer than normal Toast dresses but I can just get away with the length (5'7"). It is so flattering!! Looks great with a couple of Toast jackets I own (Kantha and Embroidered Wrap) and can be dressed up or down easily. Will end up wearing it loads. I understand (from assistant in Toast shop) that Toast has done a very limited order of the pannelled dresses so they didn't expected much demand. Not a lot of shops are stocking them.

Laska2Meryls · 23/03/2023 15:42

Oh that pea coat is reduced by loads @AmethystMoonShine .... It is really lovely and I have worn it a lot... However I dont think I would have bought it even at the reduced price.. I am not saying that it isnt worth it, as its beautiful and well.made .. but even at the sale price its well out of my normal price range .. I was so very lucky and will treasure it for a very long time..
I agree that the Lofty alpaca jumper is really nice and worth the new price , however mine ( the fawn version which I also won) has stretched a fair bit.. I have not washed it yet though ...

Countmeout · 23/03/2023 15:50

The return to paradise green dress is there if anyone wanted it.
Also @Laska2Meryls peaks dress which makes a lovely outfit with this years shirt.

Snowyowl78 · 23/03/2023 15:51

@Stoic123 im glad you like it too! I had mine shortened by 5 inches as I’m only 5’3, so I’m guessing now it looks like it was intended length wise! Ooh slightly worried about the limited batch then, I am currently holding the Dhal version and I was going to send it back and chance waiting for a sale, but perhaps this could be a terrible mistake! The dhal colour is lovely and possibly makes it slightly more casual which I am looking for in a dress.

AmethystMoonShine · 23/03/2023 16:15

Yes the coat definitely needs to be worth it @Laska2Meryls as it is a lot of money - I'm slightly worried that it isn't fully lined. Does that bother you?

I've just ordered some PJs as I see they've added more to the sale - arghhh - I wish they'd just upload it all at once!

MiracleToast · 23/03/2023 16:18

The one time I’m out the sale goes live!

Ive done a quick order of some pyjamas and now will take a slower look. So much excitement! So little bank balance.

Snowyowl78 · 23/03/2023 16:24

I recommend the velvet jacket by the way, is lovely! Size down maybe.

FiddleFigs · 23/03/2023 16:32

I went for the wool cashmere sweater in clementine - looks like a good spring/summer colour and weight. And then also the craft check linen dress, which I've mulled over in the past. The sale ends on Monday, so not much of a chance to try another size if I've got it wrong this time.

TerrierOrTerror · 23/03/2023 16:32

I've ordered a couple of jumpers, a cardigan and a dress. All things I've had my eye on for a while so hopefully worth it.

Snowyowl78 · 23/03/2023 16:35

There is so much stuff now! Is quite overwhelming

Laska2Meryls · 23/03/2023 17:19

Yes they have added to it ..
I have ordered the windflower nightdress , some furoshiki wraps and my first ever pair of Toast socks ..There is nothing else i wanted .. (sadly the only thing thatI did - Luna dress - didnt reaappear)

@AmethystMoonShine I was surprised that the jacket wasnt lined , ( but i wasnt going to complain!) but its finished really well inside with al seams and edged with binding and has a quarter cotton lining at the top back, I have found it really warm ..

neveradullmoment99 · 23/03/2023 17:22

There is loads of stuff!!!

ToastCosILoveIt · 23/03/2023 17:29

Ah typical, out for the day shopping with my DS and missed the start of the sale 😞. I have ordered the bird PJs and the matching robe - can't believe they are in the sale as they look stunning and i have had my eye on them.

This morning (before I went shopping) I ordered the denim big pocket skirt and the Kate Sheridan Waxed bag. Well, the skirt is now in the sale and luckily still a size 12 left so I have reordered. I know I could have probably rung them and persuaded them to refund me the difference but I am tight on time as I am going out again and wanted to be sure to get it at the sale price.

I put the peacoat into my bag and took it out again along with the balloon trousers. I love them but i don't need them and I am trying to be more circumspect in what I buy.

Having said all of that, the Fracap Lina leather sandals arrived this am: OMG they are lovely. I actually wore them out shopping with some tights to break them in (although I don't think they really need it). i had ordered my DH the Half Placket Check Short Sleeved Shirt as his 'summer' Toastshirt and somehow the Linas fell into my bag along with some of the Japanese Linen Socks in grey which are keepers.

Happy sale shopping everyone: it sounds as if some of the things I might have been tempted by were sold out before I got to the sale but that is probably no bad thing.

dudsville · 23/03/2023 17:32

Thank you@Countmeout ! How exciting! I've not had time to post properly yet but I've bought a few things!

Stoic123 · 23/03/2023 17:33

Made another order on a couple of previous regret-not-at-least-tried items- Tie Neck Nasturium and Peak Prints dresses.

At least this sale will be over by Monday.

Saurus72 · 23/03/2023 17:34

Ah thanks for the heads up! I was restrained but focused - I’m keeping a wish list on my phone (not just Toast) so I bought 2 things off that. Some lovely fingerless mittens for only £25 - I’d been looking at Margaret Howell versions in the sale and they cost twice as much so v pleased. Plus a lovely looking pair of merino/cashmere socks. Toast socks really are capable of making my day better so v pleased.
