Yellow patches on eyelids

Not sure if this thread in right cetegory...

I have yellow patches on eyelids which are new in last 5 yrs. not sure if they are getting worse or not. They are not raised. I cover with concealer and eyeshadow but wonder if there is a treatment I could have to reduce the pigmentation. Looking for signposting in the right direction. Can anyone help?

It says treatment not necessary so I assume this isn’t something the NHS would deal with. I wonder if a private dermatologist would laser or something? Probably not, that close to the eye, but might be worth a discussion with a dermatologist to see if there are options.

Get a cholesterol check

I sometimes get this I've noticed DH does too. It's a build up of cholesterol and can be an early indication of heart disease I've just read!

Sorry should have said that I had my cholesterol checked as a first step and it was fine...

It’s different to the Xanthelasma you get with raised cholesterol.

I didn’t… it hasn’t got any worse and I just cover them with concealer.

Thank you for your answer. Strange no diagnosis I have been able to find online seems to match. But her spots are pecisely like yours in tone, size and placement. Not raised, just discoloured.

I have this exact same thing!!! No idea what it is, I've had it for a decade maybe even longer.. can't remember exactly

I also have these yellow blotches. They’re not raised. It’s purely a discoloration of my skin. Maybe 2-3yrs?

I have it too and would like to know if anyone finds out how to get rid/manage it 💕

Hi all, not sure if this will help but recently I started taking a collagen supplement that has ashwagandha in it so I googled it and it said that can cause discolouration of the eyes/lids. Something to do with the liver. Let me know if this helps you and if you take aswagandha you may want to stop!
