I remember that my local Miss Selfridge had two private changing cubical, if I remember correctly, then a communal changing room. Do they still exist these days?

I imagine that they have pretty much disappeared which is a good thing in my opinion.

Oh crikey I remember this from my teens, mortifying, lots of shops had them. I'm VERY glad they are a thing of the past.

Definitely good and necessary now men can wander in if they feel like a woman.

It was the same in our local miss selfridge, except one of the two cubicles had no curtain for several years!!

I remember being around 10 years old and having to try some red denim monstrosity on in a big communal changing room in etam or Tammy girl. There was a bloke just stood in there with his wife and daughter. They were trying clothes on but he was with them and I felt SO uncomfortable and embarrassed. My mam was waiting outside and I just pretended I tried it on and it fit but when we got home it clearly didn't fit and I was in BIG trouble. Urgh. Really hope they are a thing of the past

I remember trying on a dress in a communal changing room and it got stuck over my head and shoulders with everything from my neck down on clear display to the rest of the room. There were some sniggers. I never went back.

Oh god, the communal changing rooms in Topshop Confused carnage. I remember seeing a teenage girl fall over trying to get out of a pair of jeans, she sort of went down like a felled tree. She crashed into someone else and landed on some bags of shopping. There was a lot of shouting and swearing.

I haven't seen one in yonks.

My local small Topshop had a communal area plus 2 cubicles. But that closed down 10 years ago

I remember these. Absolutely NEVER bought stuff from
Shops that had these. Approaching a changing room like this, did a 180 and -nope- made it very clear they'd would not be making money out of me!
