Are they overly "clumpy" or do they feel like the right sort of size? And are they as comfortable as all the reviews say?...

They are very comfy, so comfy that I felt I could have gone higher.

Are they clumpy? I wouldn't say so, they definitely feel sturdy, but that's no bad thing.

Their customer service is excellent too.

Ahh thank you @boniobiscuit! What colour do you have? I'm after something metallic/neutral-ish.

Red velvet - proper party shoes 😉

Oooh yes, I hadn't even considered velvet!! Do you wear them all year round or do they feel sort of Christmassy?

I have them in gold, absolutely love them! Obviously they’re a chunky heel so don’t feel the same as wearing a stiletto but I don’t feel clumpy in them. I’ve worn them to all day weddings with lots of walking between venues/standing/running after my kids/dancing and they are so comfortable.

Laquila · 24/02/2023 10:48

These are the enabling responses I need, thank you 😁

Do you find they're true to size, @elizzza and @boniobiscuit? I'm usually 6.5 - 7 but have reasonably narrow feet.

very comfy! A bit clumpy (but all platform soles will feel like that) but I love them. I have them in metallic anthracite. Also have the higher Valerie style in both silver and gold so have all bases covered! I find they come up big so if between sizes go down. The leather ones will give a bit too.

sauvignonplonk1 · 26/02/2023 16:30

Can anyone please advise how they fit width wise? I really struggle with sandals as I have stupidly narrow feet....

I find them quite generous in width too so may be too wide for you? Each style varies though - might be worth emailing Esska directly? Their customer services are very helpful and may be able to give you actual width measurements.

sauvignonplonk1 · 26/02/2023 16:43

Thanks @MooMinCow, that is what I feared from reading through the reviews!

tiutinkerbell · 27/02/2023 07:19

I have them and find them very comfy. They do come up big, I have to wear insoles with them and if I was to order again I would go smaller.

Popplebop · 27/02/2023 07:27

They are properly comfortable! But come up slightly big. I have a metallic pair in a 37 and a pink velvet in 36 and the 36 is much better fit at the end of my toes. I am a small size 4 usually so do have to be careful. I also have some boots and the 36 was perfect.

Namechange101111 · 27/02/2023 07:30

Ooh. They're very 70s (in a good way!).

mizu · 27/02/2023 07:35

I have been looking at these for ages, especially the gold ones which are gorgeous. The shape of them is perfect.

JaneJeffer · 27/02/2023 13:04

Are they heavy?

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 27/02/2023 18:35

I have 2 pair & im obsessed! They are unbelievably comfortable

Lisda5 · 24/04/2024 15:40

Just received my Esska Charlie Fuschia colour sandals/shoes and they are the Most Comfy shoes I ever bought I was nervous about buying the 4 as sometimes I’m 4.5 but no they are like gloves

Lisda5 · 24/04/2024 15:40

No not a bit heavy

Lisda5 · 24/04/2024 15:41

So SO SO COMFORTABLE

Gowlbag · 24/04/2024 17:21

So comfortable and don’t feel clumpy on. I have them in onyx, which is a muted gold with black tones to it. I’m currently on holiday with them, and I’ve worn them every evening as they go with everything. I genuinely think I could go sightseeing in them as they are so comfy. And they look fabulous!

slavetoloverhythm · 24/04/2024 19:52

I just bought some esska in the dead of night after much deliberation, I used my work discount with Oliver bonas and bought two pairs which feels extremely crazy and decadent but bought using PayPal pay over three months option.
I have disability and have been wearing podiatrist recommended shoes and trainers for years and am absolutely sick of feeling so underdressed below the ankle!
the esskas are exactly my style of shoe whether I was disabled or not so I’m really hoping they’re as comfy as people say for special occasions so I can actually feel special for a change.
im very short in stature so a little heel will feel good I hope.
I have ordered gold charlies I think, t bar sandal, and red suede closed in chazas .
it was a bit on a whim and not necessarily my first choice of colour or even style but it was all they had in my size left in stock and the only place I could apply my discount.
I’ve been panicking all day about the spend! it’s possible I maybe have to send one or both pairs back as lots of people say they’re quite wide or they might still be too high or heavy for me
