Best foundation at 59?

Hello,

I'm 59, pale and don't like lots of heavy make up. Am looking to look fresh and young (lol) for work. I'm not hugely lined for my age and have really meh colouring - mousey brown hair that really still doesn't need dying to cover grey. I have dark under eye lines (since primary school so not just down to lifestyle/age). All bright (or skin brightning) ideas very warmly welcomed!

Not a foundation but erborian CC cream. I’m in my early 40s and have some fine lines. It doesn’t sink into them and leaves me glowing. I’m as pale as can be and the Clair shade is perfect. It goes on white and blends to your skin tone. I let also feels really light on your skin.

im 56 and pale pink and use IT Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination. it contains skincare and SPF50.
Their brushes are great too

Try a stick one. They’re so easy to apply & get the look you want, very light or heavier, just swipe on & blend with a big brush! It’s just so quick & easy. Boots No7 now do one & you could get them to test for the right shade with that colour match little machine they have. I use the palest Crème. You can get matching concealer if you need it too. There are quite a few other brands who do them as well.

Another vote for CC cream - I use Ester Lauder. Have wasted so much money over the years on different foundations but keep coming back to this

I've just tried a sample of Futurist by Estee Lauder and really like it - I'm going to go and buy it today!

I use the Ebrorian CC cream for everyday .
I recently had a consultation as like you my foundation was sinking into and exaggerating my lines.
I came away with this foundation and I really like it.
Seems to blur my wrinkles and is nice for when I want a bit more coverage.

The Erborian cc cream goes oompa loompa orange on me. Annoying.

Same age as you and I love L'Oreal True Match Plumping tinted skin serum. It contains 1% Hyaluronic acid and makes my skin look really dewy.

Thank you - lots of new suggestions to try to sample!

Lancôme Teint Miracle
Try number 010 porcelain
But go into a Boots and test them on the inside of your wrist to get a good color match.

YSL touche éclat foundation, previous formulation. It's got the glow, not chalky, lasts the entire day. It's the only foundation I've ever repurchased
