Foundation for skin age 40+

I've always used double wear in buff as I like full coverage but just recently it's not been suiting my skin, going patchy and settling into fine lines.

I prefer full coverage as I have a broken skin barrier along my cheeks and age spots on my temples, jaw and eye area. However I feel Matt full coverage is ageing me as my skin is dryer these days.

I don't like being shiny but I would like to be more glowy? Would a mineral foundation give me decent coverage? Looking for something high street prices ideally

I can't help at high street prices - but Il Makiage is comparable to DW in terms of coverage / result. They do a money back thing if you don't like it, I think.

Hi op I had similar questions to yourself as I was finding DW quite dry. I had some lovely answers from many ppl. The suggestion that worked for me was changing a routine before I put a make up on so I did:

  • nip + bud dragon blood serum
  • then nivea cream
  • then dew me up! - like a primer
Then I put DW and its amazing. (I use tret in my evening routine too - adding as that seems to do big difference)

I used double wear since I was 17 I'm now 42 and makes me look ghastly. I've been using clinique even better it's OK..

I’ve got double wear but hardly wear it as it makes my face look grey, even though I was colour matched. I wear Garnier’s BB cream which suits my skin much better.
