What colour and how versatile do you find them?

I love them. So comfy. I buy a new white pair every year. I've also had Navy with a white sole but prefer the white.

dumbstruckdumptruck · 21/02/2023 18:11

I have them in white, and I wear them with everything. Jeans, dresses, smart joggers...

To a fault, to be honest – they're just so easy.

I live in a place where it very rarely rains, though – if I lived somewhere wetter, I imagine they'd be trickier.

BuffaloCauliflower · 21/02/2023 18:14

They’re the only trainers I’ve worn in years. I usually have white one and sparkly ones on the go. I wear them with everything, including dresses for work (I work in a charity though so less formal)

RosaBonheur · 21/02/2023 18:14

Usually white and navy.

emsyj37 · 21/02/2023 18:16

I buy a pair every year and wear with everything - I get the white leather ones as I would worry the canvas would get grubby (and would be no good in the rain).

Justkoko · 21/02/2023 18:20

White leather sounds practical! Im wondering whether to go classic navy and white or all white or I rather like these too, I have a weakness for a gum sole!

@emsyj37 can you clean the white leather ones?
Actually I'm more thinking of the rubber, that's always hard to clean.

Galadriel90 · 21/02/2023 19:03

I've got a white leather pair from last summer and they come up well with a wipe over with a baby wipe.

emsyj37 · 21/02/2023 22:14

I've never noticed the rubber being especially dirty, but I have cleaned them over the sink with a bit of washing up liquid and a scrubber. I'm not sure that's the recommended care regime though!! I've not found them hard to clean, they're pretty sturdy.
The pair pictured look nice! I've only ever gone for white as they're easy to match with everything, but those look versatile too.

Wait... SPARKLY ONES? 😍

Nitgel · 22/02/2023 08:54

I have white with black soles if you're worried about them getting discoloured, slso green jelly soles

BuffaloCauliflower · 22/02/2023 11:17

@dumbstruckdumptruck yeh I had gold glitter ones that I wore till they fell apart, and I’ve just bought some copper glitter ones in the sale but not worn them yet. Glitter is a neutral as far as I’m concerned, goes with everything 😂

Justkoko · 22/02/2023 14:21

There's talk of coloured trainers being 'in' this year. I try not to get swept up with it, I'd rather stay timeless but deciding whether to go white or a colour. You can't really go wrong with white superga surely?

OP posts:
Justkoko · 23/02/2023 15:07

Hmm. Tried some white leather ones. Admittedly in a half size bigger than normal and they look too big. But the smaller ones are narrower at the toes and I think may put pressure on my toes.
Plus. The white doesn't exactly make my skin glow given that I'm so pale. What colour can I pick that might be a more flattering neutral?

creamcheeseandlox · 23/02/2023 18:41

I had a pair of the white canvas ones and wore them to death...they had a hole in the sole. I get a 5.5 and find them to size and wider than say converse so very comfy. I'm getting a new pair this next month as they go with everything in spring/summer.

Eurydice84 · 23/02/2023 18:44

I have just found the navy Superga in a charity shop, brand new and my number! Grin They seem very comfy

BeaLola · 23/02/2023 19:05

I have lots as they are so comfy - tbh I buy either from M&M direct when buying DS football boots or in sales so have never paid full price

I have only ever bought canvas ones

I always have just white and navy with white trim

& at moment have the soft grey ones, pale pink, fuchsia pink (they were £10 in sale !) sage green, khaki colour , pale lilac

I wear them to my less formal work days with long skirts or dresses in summer

Germolenequeen · 07/03/2023 18:43

I have the navy leather & black leather and they are fabulous with dresses and jeans - can walk miles in them too.
My grey canvas look nice but they aren't as comfy in the width for me 🤷‍♀️

CheeseMaiden · 07/03/2023 18:49

@Justkoko i have very pale skin and tend to go for the pale pink/putty coloured shades, I find them flattering without being too colourful.
They do show up the dirt but come out pretty clean after a round in the washing machine.
