just that really - do they come up small or generous - seen some nice knitwear and tops online, TIA

I'd say trousers and jeans are true to size. I find knitwear oversized. Cos is fab but tricky!

Generous, I'd say. I'm a 10-12, more a 12, and generally wear a 'Small' or 36/38 depending on the item. Tops and knitwear are generally on the generous side, straight leg trousers are on the small side for me (but I carry weight on my hips and thighs) and wide leg/looser fit trousers on the generous side.

True to size verging on generous. Think Next sizing rather than Zara.

Look carefully at pics if buying online… sizing can vary enormously.
Cos is fab though all I have sizes from XS yo XL and they all fit.
