Boots for this dress

I have had this dress for ages. I really like it for work/eating out but I've struggled with shoes/boots to go with it. The dark colour on it is navy. I'm thinking navy or tan ankle boots - what do you think? Not sure I'd get much wear out of longer boots although possibly long tan ones...

Ooh tricky, it looks nice on the model with long dark boots so that would be a safe option.

I don't think tan is going to look right.

Whether ankle boots work probably depends a bit on your height and how long the dress is on you.

What about shoes instead?
