DM Chelsea Boot Advice

I’m looking for some DM advice. I’ve already got a few pairs. I desperately want to buy these - DM Chelsea Zip boots - but when I tried them on in store a few days ago they don’t zip up as much as I think they’re meant too?

The store assistant admitted the zips are temperamental, and said that the leather will stretch over time. However, I’m also quite chunky.

They don’t unzip further when I walk in them, I’m not sure whether to chance it or not. Does anyone have a pair and can comment?

I don't have a pair, but I'd leave them.
I have these DM-style dealer boots and I'm happy with them, but there's no zip.
Better quality, IMO.

Not sure if zips belong on chelsea boots.

I have had those boots for just over two years and LOVE them. However, I have just had to have one of the zips replaced as it broke. It cost £25!

I also have similar DM chelsea boots without zips. I would not get ones with zips again as it seems a weak point.
