Or is it just me?

I love trainers. Wear them with everything. Have a pair of Chelsea boots, brogues and heels which are all about 6 years old but otherwise trainers.

So much love for the trainers! Good job we're all different eh?!

Same, I live in trainers. I would never wear boots with jeans - I feel like it would age me 20 years! But they can look good on others.

And I too count Converse as trainers.

I don't do jeans with trainers. Jeans I wear boots in winter and sandals or flip flops in summer. I wear trainers with wide legged trousers and dresses.

I'm interested in what is or isn't a "trainer"

I wouldn't have said these are trainers- they're just a canvas shoe.

Are these? Surely not.

I occasionally wear Converse type trainers with jeans but I hate more 'sporty' ones with jeans.

I agree with this. I don't like sporty trainers outside the context of sport or the gym

So I agree with you OP but YABU to say converse are not trainers

I wear Converse shoes or the Primark version of thel shoes and boots but just couldn’t do the more sporty trainers.

😂

Chronic plantar fasciitis means I'm limited to Skechers or similar arch supporting footwear. I'd kill for something that actually looks good with jeans!

Is it an age thing? There's a 90s jeans and trainers on-my-way-to-a-rave look which I guess is fresh and youthful on some people. I aim for Linda Rodin but land on Larry David 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't like sporty trainers with jeans but I like Vans, light coloured in summer, darker in Autumn. Converse are too tight but I do like them with jeans.

I wear trainers because they are very comfortable. I have osteoarthritis in one foot and it has limited what I can wear on my feet. I have had to, sadly, donate a fabulous pair of heeled suede ankle boots to charity because I can no longer walk in them.

I don't own any trainers or canvas shoes. Ankle boots with jeans for me, and I tend not to wear jeans in the summer.
