I have some nice things in my wardrobe but it’s all a bit random and often things that are lovely and purchased in a charity shops or on sale but that I would not have chosen otherwise. I want to buy a few plain items that will bring it all together and that I will wear. For reference, I am late 40s and short and skinny, and the style that I am drawn to, and I think suits me, is that plain kind of “French” style - jeans, a good jacket, crossbody bag - a cross between Sezane and the Kooples.
i don’t have a huge budget and don’s want to waste money. I am thinking of the following:
- a nice trench coat for the spring - e.g. from Sezane
- a new pair of trainers (I walk a lot and I am in London so it’s boots in winter and trainers when it’s warmer)
- a plain jumper in navy or grey (have lots of stripes etc)
- maybe a new tan cross body bag
does that all sound really boring?
