I was thinking taupe trouser suit navy T-shirt kenzo pumps what inspiration please 🙏 He’s a stylish Italian and I’m thinking we might have a trot around town after weather dependant -it is exciting but I am more at home in jods and riding boots

Wanted to add that in your pic you look absolutely beautiful. He would be lucky to have you turn up. Wow x

I don’t quite understand why you’ve posted a photo of yourself on a forum where posters are anonymous?

Sorry, I find it really confusing!

To be fair if I looked like op at 56 I would be posting photos everywhere.

Have a fab time op!

Annabananna1 · 18/02/2023 19:27

I think that black dress is really flattering.
Could you wear that?
I'd potentially wear it with heels and a leather biker jacket!

I actually think heels generally would be a good idea whatever you go for, they're just sexier.

Hope the date goes well.

What @Petronus said 👏

Bilingualspingual · 18/02/2023 19:33

i actually had lunch there today and people looked nice but not especially dressed up. I saw women wearing jeans. I was wearing a jumpsuit. So anything that makes you reasonably comfortable for any kind of date would do.

Bilingualspingual · 18/02/2023 19:34

Ps you look fantastic and he’s very lucky.

Parsley1234 · 18/02/2023 19:38

It is really me I wd be a total saddo posting pictures of a random person with no date anywhere 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don’t want to wear the dress as I’m about 5 kg over what I was then and I don’t think it’ll look great 😌 plus it’s a lunch date and trot around town after hence the pumps and trouser suit. I am on a health stint for next 2 weeks ish so hoping to feel a bit more me ♥️ you all are lovely though thanks for the confidence boost I’ve been out of the dating game for 2 years after my ex was diagnosed with young onset dementia and we split up. I bought a horse and spend most of my life in jods with single women with horses 🤣🤣🤣

I can’t see it’ll go anywhere he lives in Milan but it’s a nice treat ♥️

You look gorgeous @Parsley1234 . I'm not sure about taupe but, having seen your photo, you'll look fab whatever you wear.
I'd go for whatever you feel really comfortable in. Something that makes you feel good. I don't think the Wolsey is super dressy.
Have a great time!

BriannaBurlesque · 18/02/2023 20:18

Goodness, you must certainly have been through the mill with all that happening. So hard.

Horses are wise therapists, so hope that's helped?

I think approaching your lunch out as a treat, and a time with someone clearly wanting to spend relaxed time with YOU, rather than it being a 'date' necessarily will take the pressure off and lessen any very understandable nerves.

Just be yourself.

But should more develop, Milan's not so very far away... 😉

Parsley1234 · 18/02/2023 20:25

@BriannaBurlesque not so far x let’s see what happens at least he seems a gentleman a characteristic that sadly seem in short supply

Highdaysandholidays1 · 18/02/2023 20:25

I'm so sorry about your ex, that is the hardest thing (I have experience of brain injury so know). I think light colours will really suit you, I agree though that you should wear a tighter top underneath similar to what you have on in the pic, I always wear baggier ones if I'm insecure about my weight and my teen girls tell me off and say it looks worse than a more fitted one, especially if the jacket is pretty baggy.

Parsley1234 · 18/02/2023 20:31

@Highdaysandholidays1 thank you yes I think tighter wd ge better I’ve got an eye on an eBay one atm so see how it pans out x

I assume you haven’t seen the ‘How old do I look’ threads...

blebbleb · 18/02/2023 22:59

You look lovely!

LizzieSiddal · 18/02/2023 23:02

I’ve been to the Wolsey lots of times and I’ve seen everything from jeans and a t shirt to quite glamours- your outfit sounds perfect.

Have a wonderful time!

LizzieSiddal · 18/02/2023 23:03

bellsbuss · 18/02/2023 23:09

You don't look anywhere near your age and you're stunning

Starseeking · 18/02/2023 23:13

Something slightly form fitting will look great on you, your figure is amazing. Perhaps a wrap dress, which flares out at the bottom, with a nice pair of boots.

Shitfather · 19/02/2023 00:19

You are one gorgeous woman! You’ll look bloody amazing in anything. The Wolseley is a tricky one - posh mixed with loads of tourists. Anyway, after your difficult period, you deserve a lovely date. I had a date there with the most beautiful American man. We smooched in the corner. He made me feel great! Please update us on how it went.

WhenYouWalkThroughTheGarden · 19/02/2023 00:24

Just want to say you have lovely white teeth. Envious.

I realise I'm late to the thread BUT you are lovely! Just as you are 😊

Parsley1234 · 19/02/2023 07:53

@Shitfather smooched in the corner how much fun !!! Well listen up vipers he’s made the effort to book lunch proposed a trot around town afterwards invited me to Italy should we get on let’s see the last three years have been totally awful from losing 3 businesses in covid 2 friends died from MND my partner diagnosed dementia sons father relapsing after 20 years I was diagnosed with PTSD. You are all saying such lovely things but it’s not how I look most if the time 🤣🤣🤣🤣♥️

OP posts:
Shitfather · 19/02/2023 11:38

It was. My advice would be to enjoy the date but takes things slowly given everything you’ve been through. He may well be genuine and lovely, but don’t get lovebombed. Let us know how it goes!

Parsley1234 · 19/02/2023 12:23

@Shitfather i will update after the date love bombing awareness wary ♥️
