Took child back to hairdresser after disastrous cut.

I am feeling proud of myself as I stood up for myself and took my child back to hairdresser to sort cut out by someone more senior. The junior really rushed the whole cut, made so many sloppy errors and no attention to detail. I stood there pointing out all the errors and she just couldn't sort it out. Then went to pay and was charged almost £30 for a rushed 8 minute cut! We saw this junior before and she spent nearly 30 minutes doing a lovely job and was half the price so was utterly shocked.

It was awkward going back, but they did sort it out and much happier now. The junior was also in shop with another client and swear she was giving us evil eyes.

Why did you leave and go back rather than getting it sorted there and then?

I kept pointing out all the errors and things I was unhappy with and she kept trying to sort them but still could not get it right. She was starting to get stressed with me saying "It looks alright now, doesn't it, doesn't it!!!"
I was giving her a chance to try and fix things but she couldn't.

I was wondering if I was just being fussy and unreasonable, but after showing others they were like no way, that's bad.

The senior had to redo the whole cut, it was that bad.

Good chat... I was trying to get it sorted then and there!!! Last thing I want is to waste my time returning.

Ah fair enough. I suppose it does sometimes take a second opinion too as you almost start to doubt yourself.

You definitely did the right thing going back. Did they manage to save it?

Well done for going back! I took my little boy for a hair cut few weeks ago, he wanted the same person who does his dad's but she was sick so another woman was covering, the woman did an awful job and I'd normally complain but I was just shocked! I took him to the barbers I usually take him and they fixed it, were lovely and also said they had fixed 3 other people's hair that week from the original hairdressers!
