Eye bags/puffiness under eyes. What would help?

I am 50 and and am fast developing eye bags/crepey skin under my eyes. My mum has the same, so it is genetic. I'm fair skinned and get mild roseca sometimes. Help!

They're very difficult to treat, especially if genetic. Do you drink plenty of water? Get enough sleep? There are some great temporary eye lifters/firmers out there apparently.

I have noticed dark circles, bags and hollows recently, but mine is down to sleep, so I'm trying to focus more on improving that.

Are you careful in that area? I.e, are you gentle when you take your make up off?

There are some good colour correctors, but with crepey skin you need to go easy and be very precise where you need it, not just cover the whole area. Less corrector and concealer is more in this case.

Sorry, just noticed you said nothing about dark circles!

For the bags, pressure point stimulation can help with drainage. The bit just about the corners of your eyes, press quite firmly for 20 seconds, then do circular movements around the eye. Use a serum or oil while doing this. Also, DetoxifEYE by Pixi is pretty good. Black or green tea bags and an ice roller - all have a little effect, but nothing will remove them completely unfortunately.

What about surgery? If they are so bad and genetic it could be the way to go..
