Champo or Living Proof

Since Function of Beauty have hiked their prices (by 43% no less!), I fancy a change.

Has anyone tried either Champo or Living Proof and could share their thoughts on them?

My hair is generally fine and quite thin, wavy without being properly curly and tends to be dehydrated.

I like the Champo Pitta shampoo and conditioner - it definitely gives my hair a bit more body and makes it look thicker at the roots, especially after a few uses. Smells lovely too. They do a sample set, although it's still pricey.

The only thing I use from
Living proof is their dry shampoo it makes your hair feel clean rather than sort of gunky like other ones do.
I'd like to try their new bond repair but it's a bit £££

The LP 5-in-1 styling treatment is pretty damn good. It leaves my hair looking 'properly blowdried' looking as opposed to "just ran a hairdryer round my head" which is my default look .

I'm expecting a delivery of the LP bondy stuff today. It's pricey but they said it was really good in the guardian, so it was worth trying. The LP 5 in 1 stuff is excellent too, but I'm going to try the drybar shampoo and conditioner for a change.

i have Champo and it certainly gives your hair volume!

I love LP stuff - the perfect hair day range. I've got the conditioner and 5-in-1 cream. Smells great too.

LP is the holy grail I have sought living in a very hard water area. I use the perfect hair shampoo and conditioner, followed by the bond stuff. There's also a charcoal cleanser we all use here once a month that is like a reset on build up from hard water. Game changer. My hair has never felt so soft since moving here from overseas.

Might have to investigate the 5 in 1 thingy too.

Ah, universally positive comments about both brands - which means whatever I pick ought to be good, but does NOT help me choose between them😀

It I did Champo, it would be Pitta, but I am minded towards Living Proof because my hair really benefits from good leave in products. Off to do more research!

I've not used either (maybe tried some LP at some point as a sample) but I listen to a beauty podcast with two cosmetic scientists (The Beauty Brains) who work/worked specifically in developing hair products. They tend to be very sceptical and dispell a lot of what is marketing but Living Proof is one of the rare brands they're complimentary about and praise for genuine innovation (from the science POV), it's mostly about the stylers though. Their general opinion seems to be that there's not much innovating in shampoo and conditioners.

@botemp That is good to know - thank you.
