Quick question about M&S jeans

BoredOfThisMansWorld · 15/02/2023 20:42

Anyone know the answer please? Googling has got me nowhere.

Do M&S long fit jeans simply have longer legs, and everything else identical to regular fit? Or are they longer/ deeper in the rise too?

I always buy the long length & as far as I am aware it’s just the legs that are longer. Easy to return if they don’t suit you though.

I agree, I think it's just the legs that are longer, not the rise. I'm currently wearing a pair!

Longer body too I think.

Conflicting views!

Trying to avoid ordering even more stuff unnecesarily but I think I'm going to have to anyway. For clarity, I want the rise to be deeper.

When trying on different lengths, I have never noticed a difference in the rise.

Also, people recently have found them very, very long, if that helps at all.

Quick update. I don't know yet about their jeans, but I have in front of me two pairs of the crepe wide leg trousers in same size, one regular one extra long. The extra long has an inch deeper in the rise. As an hourglass with a very high up waist this extra inch makes all the difference to me.

Thanks for the update, @BoredOfThisMansWorld .
M&S are pretty good for jeans.
Are they true to size now? The last time I bought some there they went back as the size 6 was too big and I'm normally an 8, and I'm posting this as someone who generally loves M&S

I’d love to know how you get on if you do order .. also tall and struggle for jeans .. NEXT are pretty good and Boden were in the old days but not now . I like the look of the currently out of stock wide leg ones

BoredOfThisMansWorld · 02/03/2023 10:12

I have the wide legs from last year. Usually I find m&s are generously sized but not this style, had to size up (or more likely face reality!). They're nice...but now I'm wondering if the longer length would have been better if the rise was deeper! Stupid thing is I am tall, but I don't opt for tall length because I prefer slightly cropped legs.

There is a difference in the rise. I always try to order long length as the regular always land up slightly uncomfortable even though they appear to fit!
