To be aware if you have an existing pre-paid 12 month subscription as I do - from January all returns are chargeable at £2.50 each. I don't recall seeing anything advising of this.

Hi there, I am now finding this thread, i was never a next customer but i just had a baby and they have great kids stuff, so i just subscribed to nextunlimited because they dont have free delivery, even if you spend loads of money (which is weird), so the delivery is always £4.95 and they even charge when you want it delivered to the store, I think it's £2.50. this is so absurd, surely they deliver stuff to their stores anyway?
in any case, i subscribed for next unlimited and got an order in, and was so surprised to find out that i have to pay £2.50 for the returns even if i post with royal mail (and not a courier collection from home)
I called them and they explained they changed it in Jan 2023 and I understand the people who subscribed before then must be so annoyed, but i subscribe for asos and for selfridges and their yearly cost is something like £10 for unlimited deliveries and returns, so it's so weird that next charges something like £25 for yearly unlimited and they do not include returns...?
Do they have such a monopoly that they do whatever they want?
I just had a baby so returning to the store is not that easy for me.
I asked them to cancel my subscription and told them how i feel and they said 'they will take my feedback positively' whatever that means

Yes they do. Next is growing and growing. It's bought countless brands that have been unable to survive including Laura Ashley, Gap and Victoria's Secret.

They have a good website where things are in stock (marks and Spencer's can't manage this) and next day delivery. Their stuff is reasonable quality and they still have lots of physical stores.
