Natural nails?

I'm trying to give up my habit of paying for gel nails, it's so expensive to keep doing it. I've had clean nails for about 2 weeks and trying to get used to them - does anyone have any suggestions on how to make natural nails look nice without visiting a salon? Any nice natural polish etc out there as well?

Try Rx rescue by CND. Rub it into your natural nail and cuticle. It really helps them grow and strengthen.

I use almond oil for nails and to rub round the cuticles (any brand or from a wholefood shop) and my go to is Mavala cuticle cream, not cheap, by a tiny bit goes a very long way. I only rarely paint in a clear varnish and use a Barry M made in Britain varnish: barrym.com/products/nail-paint-54-clear The other thing I like is my french manicure nail-white pencil and I buy the Essence brand, from Wilkos, so very cheap.

I've just started using P-Shine (first use today in fact!), its a Japanese set that gives you mineral paste, shine power and the various buffers, emery boards etc.
I've buffed my nails up to a lovely glossy shine and they look really pink and healthy.

I had my final gel polish taken off 2 weeks ago and my nails are just wrecked. They've been splitting and breaking so I've been using a 7 in 1 nail treatment to help, but apparently the P-shine minerals are meant to help them grow and get healthier. It's £50 for a set from Amazon, but it will last ages, and my gel polish was £30 a time so money saving by next use.

I bought some Dior Nail Glow after seeing it highly recommended here but I don't think it's anything special for the price. Any decent clear or sheer varnish should make you feel happier with simple DIY nails. I also like the Essie Treat Love Colour ones- sort of pearly sheer, just need one coat on its own.

Dior nail glow is nice, I got some for my wedding and am still working my way through the bottle

Ooo - I love Dior Nail Glow! (Dior ladies do not do washing up or decorating though as it can't cope with either!)

I use Rimmel Soul Session. It's basically a v similar colour to my nail beds. It's very forgiving if it wears off at the ends and if I cba to do the whole thing, I just put a fresh coat on top.
I like a varnish to protect my nails from water and detergents and I think it looks more groomed than naked nails
