I have been given some of the shower oil which I love. I rarely go into city but was in Manchester recently so wandered into the shop. I love the smell of almond and of vanilla so I could have bought plenty if I had the £££
Can anyone recommend any of their products that are particularly good?

We only use their soaps for the shower & beside the sink - we love the mens range. They smell amazing & last really well plus they don't dry out my skin like other soaps do.

We always have a bottle of mens shower gel too & dh uses it to wash his hair.

He also has aftershave which he uses as an everyday one & saves his more expensive ones for going out.

I've never tried the face creams but might give them a try.

I always have a handcream in my bag / on my work desk but I also use Aveeno for v dry skin on my hands at night before bed.

We use lots of L'Occitane but veer towards the mens scents which I generally prefer. I find some of the womens range too sweet. I'm not a fan of oils

I'd love to try the shower oil ( been wanting to for years ) but dh is unsteady on his feet and cannot have anything in the shower with any hint of slippyness.
Does the shower oil cause this ?

BHRK · 14/02/2023 09:57

I love all of it

I haven't noticed it being slippy and was wary too.
I held off buying it for that reason plus it's expensive.
I just went back upstairs to check. The shower is in the bath and it's not slippy at all.

I use their intensive repair shampoo and conditioner and it's incredible. Yes it's expensive but I only have to wash my waist length hair every 5 days and could probably push it to 6. They sell refill pouches to top up the plastic pump bottles too which is a nice touch.
The almond shower oil is divine and I use the immortelle reset serum in between tret days which works really well.
I was first introduced to L'Occitane via their beauty advent calendar which is great option for trying out lots of the different scents of hand cream/body washes etc.

I've tried most of the almond range and love the shower oil. Also love the Almond Milk Veil lotion and the Almond Milk Concentrate body cream. And I love the hand cream. The body balm in a tin and the exfoliating soap were disappointing as the smell was barely noticeable. The supple skin oil was underwhelming.

Everything!

I bought the almond shower oil as a treat last month when I was finishing my hospital bag. It felt so luxurious using it in the shower after I'd given birth.

The shea butter hand cream is great and I also prefer their eau de toilette to regular perfume. I usually use their fleurs de cerisier (cherry blossom) EDT, but there are some other really nice ones like jasmine and bergamot.

lovescats3 · 14/02/2023 18:33

How much are the handbag perfumes?

RagamuffinCat · 14/02/2023 18:42

I use the almond milk concentrate as a face cream. Since I started using it everyone keeps telling me how well I look!

Philandbill · 14/02/2023 18:45

The hand cream is lovely.

bestbefore · 14/02/2023 18:47

@WeAreOnTheRoadToNowhere there's one at the Chester oaks outlet if you're near that?

Thewizardssleeve · 14/02/2023 18:51

i love the Almond Milk Concentrate body lotion. Also the Terre De Lumiere perfume but they've stopped selling it 😭

ProperVexed · 14/02/2023 18:56

I love the hand cream...particularly rose and lavender. And anything smelling if verbena is great. Having received a free sample and loving it I recently bought the Immortal Divine face cream. Ruinously expensive ( I put a birthday voucher towards it) but it is absolutely fabulous.
However, I really didn't like their bubble bath.

IntheSnowySnowyMountains · 14/02/2023 19:01

I agree the almond milk body cream is fabulous.

The Shea butter lip balm in the white tube is very good.

I like the verveine products in the summer - both hand soap and shower gel are lovely, The body lotion is hard to get out of the container but I just decant it into something else. They often do variations on the verveine in summer.

I always have a large size Shea butter hand cream on the go in winter (the 150ml size is better value than the 30ml). The almond hand cream is good too.

In their perfume range I like Osmanthus and Herbae (the original one, which is both fresh and slightly sweet). I got a handbag spray of this for €18 (haven't seen roll-on recently).

I used a shower oil of theirs and did find it very slippy.
I do love their products though.

WellTidy · 14/02/2023 19:27

The high percentage Shea butter hand cream is really lovely, I’ve used it for a few years. The big one, I think it’s 150ml, is much better value than the 30ml.

I like all of their hand creams which contain Shea butter, but not the ones that don’t.

I also love their Shea butter bath foam. It comes in a metal bottle. It’s spendy, but it is the very best bubble bath I’ve ever had.

And I love the face serums and moisturisers, I’ve never bought them but had loads of samples. Again, they’re spendy. They do a day one (divine?) and a night one (prodigious??) and they’re both fab.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 14/02/2023 19:28

I love their handcreams especially the Lavender which I use at night.
Their Shea Butter Foot Balm is excellent too.
I loved their Arlésienne perfume but think it's been discontinued.

BluebellBlueballs · 14/02/2023 19:29
