Skincare routine - which order

If using an...active? (unsure of the term)...is that applied after cleanser but before hyaluronic acid and moisturiser?

I cleanse, use hyaluronic acid then apply my moisturiser on top as per the HA bottle's advice. Can I try salicylic acid between the cleanser and HA? If it matters, my skin dries quickly so I don't worry about applying the HA to damp skin.

I get lots of clogs and blackheads, my current products are among the few products that don't clog me more, cause breakouts or dry my skin further so don't want to change those.

Yes, you want to apply actives post cleansing, if you're using more than one you need to take in account texture and sometimes pH in how you order those. Hyaluronic acid is easy to layer on top of others and at what point you use it isn't as crucial as with actives.

They say you should go up the textures but HA and SA are often a v similar texture. I'd probably use one in the morning and one in the evening.

I only use HA in the mornings.
