So as I took a delivery of a Iconic London this morning, containing yet another 2 highlighters and a lip product, I realised that I have an issue with highlighters and lip products (specifically lipsticks). I must have 30 highlighters (which tbf I do cycle through - I'll never finish one but I do use them all in turn) and 100+ lipsticks (of which I do not use all - I keep trying them in the never-ending quest for the perfect MLBB shade).

I just cannot resist a highlighter in any form (powder, cream, I love them all) or a pink/nude/mauve lipstick.

What do you fall for every time?

I’m a hair product whore. I buy into the bs every bloody time😭

Ostryga · 10/02/2023 11:25

Cleansers. I must have 30 of them. No idea why because I use the same two (Clinique balm and Elemis cream cleanser) but cannot stop myself buying a new one when it comes out.

Galadriel90 · 10/02/2023 11:35

What's MLBB stand for?

I own loads of nailvarnishes. Lots of them a slight variation on red or coral. I've had to ban myself from buying any more!

Todaynotalways · 10/02/2023 11:36

Nude nail varnish, I must have 20 or 30. They're never quite the right nude.

The grey or brown undertone ones make my nails look dirty.
The cream coloured ones make my nails look dead.
The pink ones are too pink against my skin.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 10/02/2023 11:40

Pricey limited-edition palettes.

I don’t even wear eyeshadow, but still the eye palettes call to me. I mostly resist, but I then reward myself by giving in to yet another face palette.

SockGoddess · 10/02/2023 11:55

Pinky purple eyeshadow, I just love them. I keep buying pinky purple palettes and different textures. I don't even wear make-up that much!

Also sheer, muted pink lip tints and tinted balms. I don't do proper lipstick but I'm always looking for the perfect sheer pink lip balm. My coat pockets and bag pockets are full of them - luckily they're usually not expensive.

Definitely nail varnishes for my toes in summer, but I think it's not so odd to have a collection of them. Though now I have an almost teenage DD, they keep disappearing...

@Galadriel90 MLBB = My lips but better - aka the perfect nude shade for you

Face palettes. If Charlotte tilbury brings out a face palette I’ll buy it. If hourglass release a holiday face palette I’ll buy it. I don’t even go anywhere! I work from home, I do the school run and see my parents at the weekend. That’s it! With a full face of make up 😂

Jellywobblescobbles · 10/02/2023 12:52

It definitely used to be eyeshadow palettes for me. Since the pandemic I haven’t worn makeup every day. I only really use 1 palette now , The TooFaced Born This Way natural nudes.

TallulahBetty · 10/02/2023 13:06

SO GLAD it is not just me that fixates on specific things! I really need to stop now, especially with the cost of living, yada yada. But I just KNOW that a brand will bring out a new sparkly highlighter that I MUST HAVE 😳

Not beauty but jumpers 😳
I searched years for the perfect MLBB after I had a beautiful one from The Body Shop. Never found it sadly

LoobyDop · 10/02/2023 14:29

Nude pink lip gloss. I’ve got about ten.

Sounds just like me. And have to be pure wool, wool/silk or cashmere. Not interested in hair, make up or cosmetic products.

I nearly bought the Charlotte Tilbury nudegasm face palette yesterday, but stopped myself as I already had some expensive eyeshadow in my basket!

I'm assuming you have this and can tell me if it's any good for someone pale? Pay day is around the corner after all.... 😁 I've never bought anything Charlotte Tilbury but I'm a sucker for the pretty packaging and the "hello darlings" advertising!

Yeah I'm with you on the pink/nude/mauve lipstick. Clearly I'm incapable of stopping buying them

Mercedesbenz2022 · 10/02/2023 16:15

Lots and lots of coral /pink/ peach/ nude nail varnishes
and body lotions / creams Especially if it has a pump applicator or is in a chunky tub

I try not to buy as I probably use body lotion about once a month , even though it sits patiently on my beside table so I won’t forget , I don’t forget I just cba

Gingerbreadcandle · 10/02/2023 19:07

Definately the MLBB perfect lipstick/ lip gloss/ lip balm. I have many that have looked perfect but then are too orange/ brown/ make my teeth look yellow. Also all of the things from Charlotte tilbury……but…the pillow talk lipliner, pillow talk collagen gloss and pillow talk superstar lips are actually perfect and I re buy when I have used them up/ lost them in a coat pocket or car/ have them stolen by a teenager. I am now tempted by the new blush wands……

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 10/02/2023 19:10

Lipstick. I don't suit lipstick. Keep buying the bloody things anyway, hoping this one will be different abd work some magic.

Body butters/moisturisers. My dry skin crawls if I don't moisturise so I always have loads of them and constantly stock up on more.

Which blushers do you buy. I’m intrigued by what you’ve described.

Artemisty · 10/02/2023 19:18

Lipsticks. So many lipsticks. I hardly ever wear them as I tend to just do lip liner and balm these days but I just get taken in by them.
I have some lovely discontinued colours though and they make me very happy.

And conditioners actually.

Try Maybelline Pink Poudree nail polish - it's the only one I own now after going through 100s.

JMAngel1 · 10/02/2023 19:34

For me it's lipsticks/stains and oil absorbing powders.
Always looking for MLBB too and a quest for matte skin.

Badoukas · 10/02/2023 19:55

Facial moisturiser. Especially anything organic/pure with natural ingredients. Got a thing about feeding my face the good stuff!
