Does your DH notice when you have fillers/botox done? If yes, is he normally aware of changes to your appearance?

My DH doesn't notice a new pair of eyeglasses, hair cut or colour. He notices new clothes 2 months later. I'm thinking of having my 11s done and possibly a bit of filler in my lips. DH will be away for 2 weeks and wondering whether he will notice as he's very anti filled lips. I'm going for something modest.

So, did your husband notice fillers and botox? Is he normally quick to notice changes?

Nope, has no idea.but I’ve never had filler.
he usually notices hair, and always clothes.

Mine never notices botox, it isn't sudden either it'll come on gradually after it's done. Mine does notice lip filler...especially as you're likely to bruise. I swell terrible and look like a cartoon for a couple of days. I think you would get away with botox but not filler. Anyway, just tell him it's your face and you'll do what you wish with it

Chooka15 · 10/02/2023 07:40

If he’s away for two weeks and you have your filler done asap then the swelling will have passed by then. I usually bruise for around a week and the swelling is gone within a couple of days. It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done, looking at a teeny tiny bit of Botox next 😊

ChesterCheetah · 10/02/2023 07:42

Various close family members have slagged off the concept of Botox to me before I told them I get it done 😁 so no, I don't think it's obvious, more a smoothing out.

Lip fillers on the other hand...not sure you could easily get away with that, but then again it's your face so do what you want with it!

DillDanding · 10/02/2023 07:44

Clothes - yes.

Botox - no. I have to tell him.

McConkeysPlate · 10/02/2023 07:51

Nope!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 10/02/2023 07:56

No but he knows that I have it

barbrahunter · 10/02/2023 07:57

no

Burnamer · 10/02/2023 08:01

No he doesn’t notice. I have Botox and facial filler (not lips). He knows and sometimes looks at me and asks if I’ve had a top up but he rarely gets the timing right 🤣

PigTableManners · 10/02/2023 08:04

I'm relieved by the general consensus in the comments. Of course it's my choice and my face but I care about DH finding me attractive.
@ChesterCheetah That sounds hilarious their faces must have been a picture when you told them you have it done 😁

Thank you everyone for replying.

Nobody ever looks natural with lip fillers. Even half blind husband will notice. Based on what you said he is unlikely to notice botox

ladyforallseasons · 10/02/2023 08:27

Discussing Botox with friend and our two husbands. I admitted I had Botox....
My friend's husband said "Jane's lucky, as she doesn't need it"
She kicked me under the table not to say anything.....
She has her Botox done with me Grin

GilliansFarm · 10/02/2023 08:33

No, he didn't even notice after I'd had my eyebrows tattooed and they were very pale before. Neither did my mum.
My husbands boss noticed!

Chooka15 · 10/02/2023 08:40

I only have 0.5ml in my lips and honestly no one notices, initially you can as it sweeps but after a couple of days it settles. If you go to a fantastic nurse who knows what they are doing lip filler can be a subtle as you want it to be 😊

Swells not sweeps 🤦🏼‍♀️

HeadacheEarthquake · 10/02/2023 08:42

Mine didn't notice my derma nosejob. Twice.

FrangipaniBlue · 10/02/2023 08:57

My DH doesn't necessarily notice "what" I've had done..... but he does notice "there is something different".

I catch him side eyeing me and he has zero poker face, I can literally see the cogs going "what's different about her??"

🤣🤣🤣

Here we go. There are always people on these threads determined to believe that lip fillers are always obvious. Obvious lip fillers are obvious. Subtle well done lip fillers look like nice lips

NameNotRelevant · 10/02/2023 09:23

I never mention it to mine, he just thinks I’m aging well 😂

Popplebop · 10/02/2023 12:10

DH has never noticed Botox but will spot any item of new clothing instantly.

LizzieBrooks · 10/02/2023 14:14

DH noticed with my latest round of botox but he said he can tell because I hold my face really still in the hours after I’ve had it. 😄
Any ‘frozen’ appearance is down to me!
