I am in my 30's and need to start a proper skin care routine before I get too old! What am I supposed to do? Cleanse, tone and moisturise in that order? Are these all important? Can anyone recommend a good product they use, doesn't have to be cheap but not too expensive. What is your skin care routine - please share with me.

Cleanse yes... If you wear make up then a balm or oil is best to remove it.
You might like to follow up with more of a wash water based Cleanser.
Inky List is a good affordable brand.

Tone... Meh. It's not something I value. Most now are seen as a hydrating step.

If you want anti aging then Retinol is best. I like Medik8 one.

Moisturiser - yes, it depends on your skin type but I like the La Roche Posay ones.

In the morning, optional cleanse but needed is Spf.

You might like vit c in the morning, revolution do quite a nice affordable one. If you want a fancy one the Oskia capsules are lovely.

Depends on your skin type, but this works for me:

  • cleanings balm
  • gel cleanser
  • vitamin c in the morning / retinol or peptides in the evening
  • spf at least 30 in the morning / thicker moisturizer in the evening

This works for me. My skin is on a drier side. But I did experiment a lot with different brands and products.
At the end I went to the dermatologist and she recommend a regime based on my skin type.

I also do moisturizing masks 2 x a week (I like clarins & origins at the moment).
