I am due a treat at the end of the month and would love some recommendations for a lengthening, volumising mascara that’s okay for sensitive eyes. I don’t mind if it’s expensive or cheap just has to meet the brief!

I’ve been using Lancôme Hypnose for years, I find it great - very light, looks good even after a long day, and washes off easily.

savvy7 · 07/02/2023 21:53

Another vote for Lancome

CassieMc · 07/02/2023 22:07

Mac magic extension or too faced better than sex mascara

Third-ed. Been using it for years.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 07/02/2023 22:12

I like benefit their real best. Trail size in boots only £13

RedLorryYellaLorry · 07/02/2023 22:13

Benefit - They're Real (Magnet)

Always gives me fluttery feathery long lashes without any clumping. One layer for an everyday natural look. 2 layers for a thicker more glam look.

PumpkinDart · 07/02/2023 22:13

Either Too Faced Better than Sex or Maybelline Lash Sensational.

Skyliner1 · 07/02/2023 22:14

I've been using a Mac one for a few years, then tried an Estelle Lauder one a few months ago and last week there was a 17 one by the till in boots for £2 and I thought I may as we'll try it. I find it just as good as either of the much more expensive ones.

Nap1983 · 07/02/2023 22:14

I really like Mac stack. Thick and long lashes without being clumpy.

ginislife · 07/02/2023 22:16

Any of the Lancôme ones. Not popular on here as it's a MLM but the old formulation Arbonne mascara was the best I've ever used - and then they changed recipe. I still like it but it's not as good.

Metabigot · 07/02/2023 22:17

Maybe I'm applying it wrong but u found Macstack was clumpy.

Thickening AND lengthening is a tough brief as most market themselves as one or the other.

Lancome idols is good

Justleaveitblankthen · 07/02/2023 22:38

I swear by Collection Fast Stroke, currently £2.49@Amazon 😂
but available everywhere else too.

whiteonesugar · 07/02/2023 22:41

I really love the gold one from primark! I can’t remember the name but it’s the thin gold tube. Do not get the thin silver tube it’s crap.

Brewinastorm · 07/02/2023 22:46

Another vote for Collecfion. The makeup artist I used for my wedding actually recommended it over all of the expensive brands!

OxanaVorontsova · 07/02/2023 22:51

bobbi brown smoky eyes
clinique high impact
Hourglass unlocked

whatsinaname2 · 07/02/2023 23:22

Bobbi Brown Smoky Eyes! Wow, my lashes look ridiculously long and thick.
Benefit Rollerlash as a close runner up.

JenniferBooth · 07/02/2023 23:27

Best one ive worn is Rodial Glamo Lash XXL

Rebel2023 · 07/02/2023 23:42

Tarte lights camera lashes

BooCrew · 07/02/2023 23:45

I love Bobbi Brown smoky eyes. Never clumps, nice dark black, probably not very volumising but I go for length.

learieonthewildmoor · 08/02/2023 01:52

Ellis Faas.

motherofkevinnotperry · 08/02/2023 02:52

I love benefit mascara then I tried Aldi's dupe, game changer! I also rate primark's in the silver tube.

I've had expensive mascaras from Clinique to benefit to Mac, I think I've tried them all. I don't bother now, I stick with cheap.

BlackSwan · 08/02/2023 06:43

YSL Faux Cils

Gufo · 08/02/2023 06:58

Collection Lash Surge

PAFMO · 08/02/2023 07:06

If you want to spend and want volume I rate:

Dior Pump and Volume
Lancome Monsieur Big.

You don't need to however. Essence are just as good.

That said, I'm about to try Maybelline Sky High as apparently it gets rave reviews.

Mascaras that have left me "meh"
Lancome Hypnose
Benefit They're Real
Clinique Lash Impact (impact maybe in a "wtaf, is this product invisible then?" way.

Twilightstarbright · 08/02/2023 07:11

Too Faced is amazing but not for sensitive eyes.

I’m using the essence one recommended on here in a green and black tube and I’m impressed for the price.
