Colour corrector and undereye concealer in one? Separate products too cakey on me 😐

Hi,

So I have a gorgeous mix of puffy, dark circles and hollows under my eyes 🙄 Gorgeous! There's not much I can do about the puffy and hollow delightful combination, but the colour should be easy to fix.

I was recommended the Bobbi Brown colour corrector in Bisque. At first I thought it was great, but after I apply a concealer on top, I notice the area looks quite dry and yeah, cakey. I don't think it's the concealer, as I've tried all sorts. I think it's just too many products.

My dark circles aren't actually that bad, so I think I'm just ovetdoing it. Ideally I'd like a concealer with a peachy undertone, that offers a medium coverage.

Does this exist?

TIA

Can you dot your corrector and concealer under your eye together then blend? I've seen people doing this. Unfortunately mine are terrible so I definitely need two layers, I always make sure my under eye area is moisturised well.

Interesting. I just bought BB and am now only using this as I also find the concealer on top doesn't add anything. It kind of takes away if anything, as the more I rub the more I expose the bags again. Maybe it's now the wrong colour of concealer. I also feel like it's too much product.

I'm not even sure what I want it to add. More brightness?

On another thread I saw Touche Eclat YSL and Tarte Shape concealers recommended to go over BB.

Will try the suggestion of dotting both and see what happens!

I really like the l'oreal eye cream in a concealer (or something like that). I use the lightest shade and it has a peachy pink tone that corrects really well on my skin.

I rate it in general for under the eyes, it goes on so nicely (I pat it in with a finger) and has a really nice finish. I don't find it creases. If I need or want more coverage I just use it as a base and conceal on top.

Stila has the best colour corrector, and the American site has a concealer/corrector.

They had a peach colour corrector for under the eyes which I’ve got and is brilliant, but they don’t make it anymore.
I recommend their colour corrector/primer and then your concealer on top.

Armani did good ones, thin and liquidy. No idea if they still make them.

One thing that seems to help the look of mine is CT flawless filter (or elf halo glow for a dupe!)

I use it all over my eye area to sort of bounce light back, then concealer lightly over the top

I like this (hope the link works) total eye.

I'm pretty sure YSL touché eclat would be what you want. Lots of people think it's a concealer but it's not. I'd use it under foundation.

atthebottomofthehill · 22/03/2023 07:25

Use the corrector on its own? I used to do that

Nars creamy radiant concealer is good under the eyes?

I use a pale pink highlighter, it works well to cancel out grey shadows
