Work from home outfits?

I’m work from home in a professional role. I’ve changed roles slightly and am having lots more internal zoom meetings. I need some ideas for tops/outfits I can wear that look smart but are still practical/comfortable for the school run and walking the dog. I live rurally do need to be able to wear boots/wellies with whatever I’m wearing as it’s so wet and muddy at this time of year. At the moment I’m tending to wear leggings and alternating them with 2 plain longer jumpers I have from fatface but I’m fed up of them and want some new things. I’ve got £150 to spend on a few items. Id be very grateful for any suggestions, specific items or even more general of good brands to look at. Thanks in advance

Hi OP, I have just bought a couple of long, tunic type dresses from Tesco - beautiful jewel colours in blue and green. I wear them with leggings but you could easily wear with tights and heels for a more formal look or jeans for more casual.

I've got a few nice tops from Sugar Hill recently, but I am really lazy and wear them with leggings for comfort - no one sees my legs!

Thanks both these suggestions are perfect. I’m off to Tesco shortly and like the look of the link! Will have a proper look later

I tend to stick to leggings on the bottom half and then a jumper on the top in the winter, I still do hair, wear jewellery and makeup etc so I look like I would in the office-just warmer. We don't have a formal dress code though.

Currently mind you also have a massive scarf on as I am freezing!

I don't wear the same types of clothes when I am not working which helps to differentiate I think.

Glad I’m not the only one in leggings all the time

@AccidentallyRunToWindsor what do you wear when you’re not working? i wear the same sort of the all the time think unless on the odd very rare occasion I go to the office I wear something smarter. maybe that’s issue.

I'm not sure really! If I was in the office I would probably be wearing a pinafore dress, roll neck tights and boots. Or skinny jeans, flats and a smarter t shirt if that makes sense? I just have jumpers that I wear for wfh that I wouldn't wear in my normal life, or the the office as it's like a sauna!

Out of work I'm in jeans, trainers and t shirts mainly 😂

I tend to wear jeans or shorts on my bottom half and normal office attire on my top half - silk or cotton shirts / blouses, cashmere sweaters, rarely dresses. Still wear normal jewellery and make up as if for the office. If I’m wearing silk shirts I often change into T shirts or more informal and warmer jumpers when not on screen.
