Make up for over 45's

I'm after a good primer/foundation for 'mature ' skin, I feel so rubbish about it at the moment, it's dull and have suddenly developed chappy orange peel looking skin and under eye bags. It's really affecting my confidence, seems what ever primer/foundation I use, nothing makes it look better!

Any help greatly received!

Once your primer is sorted I would recommend no7 hydraluminous foundation. Works really well on my skin, evens things out in a my skin but better kind of way. I’m 45 this year and it works really well doesn’t settle in lines and makes my skin feel plump and dewy but not oily.

Cereave moisturising lotion is also really good for making my skin feel happy.

FYI I love Collagen powder, I was a total sceptic but it’s really helped with my knee pain! Yet to see much improvement with skin, but my hair seems to be growing in quicker (although this could also be the HRT!) but the knee pain relief was within days of taking it after about 8 month of pain. It’s the only supplement I’ve every taken that has helped with anything!

I like face theory for skin care.
I recently had a voucher for Trinny and the make up is great.
I use Face theory Vit c moisturiser, then Trinny SPF 30 cream, then Trinny foundation.

Agree with the focus on skincare. Yourregime doesn't sound all bad btw, but consistency is key. I use an acid toner in the morning, with a bit c oil. At night, double cleansing followed by retinol. I mix things up with other serums, but that's my building blocks, along with decent eye creams. A facial spf everyday. I've moved on to skin & me for tret instead of over the counter retinol. My skin is in so much better shape and it makes make up easier.

I use a Bobbi brown vitamin E cream as a primer and take a less is more approach to the make up. Hope that helps!

I'm six weeks into tret and don't need foundation anymore.

What's tret?
