I’ve always wanted a special handbag and I’ve finally got the money to be able to buy one. For ages I wanted a Chanel bag but I’ve lost my love for them. I love the Dior saddle bag - black with black hardware. But is it too young for me? I’m 54. I’m not sure if I should get it. I’ve seen it and I think it’s stunning.
I just don’t know.

Of course it’s not too young for you. It’s a plain black handbag. Besides, how can a bag be too young for anyone?

Yes you’re right. Menopause has made me lack the most basic confidence.

Even if it was Barbie pink with glitters, you could still wear it. Fashion has no age limit and if you like it, buy it, enjoy it.

Besides I doubt many young people, myself included, can afford this bag unless they have a very high flying career at a young age or can save up a sufficient amount of money to spend on a bag. Once I no longer have to spend a big chunk of the family income on school fees, I will get a Lady Dior.

I loved mine and am 51. It was a vintage however so they are harder to hold as the strap is quite thick and I missed being able to wear crossbody which you might be able to with a newer one depending on the model.
