Can anyone recommend a vitamin C serum please? A potent one that doesn’t drag or sting too much.. and also not too spendy.. I’m not asking much am I 😅

I use skin and me tret so my skin is a bit sensitive so would like a serum that doesn’t sting too badly.

Is the Timeless serum a good one? I seem to remember it being recommended years ago

Timeless is no longer available in Europe. Tbh if you're dealing with skin sensitivity from Tret I'd wait until you're properly acclimated to that before using vitamin c. Geek and Gorgeous C-glow when the tikes right but until then save yourself the money and further irritation.

*time's not tikes Confused

Thanks, timeless came up on eBay and the sellers say made in the US but shipped from the UK. Will have a look at geek and gorgeous too thank you x

Sorry meant to say, is that the same stuff that was recommended? The pricepoint is good too

Geek and Gorgeous is cheaper (around £10 on their UK site). I prefer it to Timeless, Timeless can be quite irritating if skin is sensitised (it has a very low pH), definitely would not be using that alongside tret if you've never used vitamin c before and are just starting to acclimate to Tret. There were Timeless fakes when it was peak popularity and available here, would be wary of eBay.

I use Medik8 tetra. It’s not the cheapest but not the list expensive. Was fine when I was using tret.

Ireallydohope · 05/02/2023 17:26

I use the Dermatologica Biolumin C serum and have noticed a visible difference to my skin

I use it 2-3 times a week

It's the only Vit c serum I've found that I really like and suits my sensitive temperamental skin

Once it runs out I'm going to try the L'Oréal Vit C and see what that's like

Eclat Vitamin C serum is lovely and reasonably priced. You can find it on Amazon. There was an article on it in the Faily Mail a couple of weeks ago. I'd bought it before reading about it.

Geek and gorgeous here too, a much less spendy alternative to medik8.

CornishTiger · 05/02/2023 17:45

I’m planning on trying garden of wisdom. Anyone else used it?

PAFMO · 05/02/2023 17:50

I've tried Timeless, didn't like the oily texture. Garden of Wisdom was similar.
Currently happy with N7 but my guru @botemp 🤣 has recommended Geek & Gorgeous so I'll be trying that when the N7 is finished.
(I didn't like La Roche Posay either- only product of theirs I didn't love- again the slime!)

Ok thank you, I like that they have a smaller bottle that you can decant from the fridge into, the long trek to the fridge prevented me from using my old vit C many a time 😅

This one and eclat look good, will try them and a few others mentioned here to try and find a hg vit C, I like to stick to a product once I find it works for me 👍🏼
