Hair loss

Not sure if I should post here or in “women’s health”. I had what I thought was dry skin on my hairline due to winter weather, finally realised it was seborrheic dermatitis, which is now broadly under control via tar shampoos and hydrocortisone cream that I apply very sporadically if it gets bad - maybe once every 8 weeks.

However I’ve now got hair loss in the area and it’s really bothering me as it’s very unsightly and upsetting. I’m blonde anyway so you can hardly see the hair on the hairline as it is! Let alone losing lots :(

Any advice on medicine, vitamins, any treatments? I saw a thread on rosemary oil, but am open to everything.

Mine went thin with the menopause. I started using pantene root awakener. And a good hair nail and skin vitamin. Hair has a cycle so it's awaiting game. I was on second bottle before little hairs started growing on my hair line. Boots and superdrug often have it at half price. So I buy then. It's normally 9.99 so at 4.99 it's a good price.

Hair fibres might be helpful for disguising it while you're waiting for regrowth.

Hi - how do you use the Pantene? After washing the hair? Thank you

Thanks- that’s helpful. I need to get some relevant vitamins but don’t know if I’m wasting my money.
