MehgaLegs · 08/02/2008 20:58

and these

PFNM - don't feel freakish. I know what you mean. I feel self concious sometimes but when you look about there are loads of tall women about.

MrsMar · 08/02/2008 20:59

I have a friend who's 6'1" and she's always in skyscraper heels... very impressive, but she does scare the men off! I'm 5'10 and would wear the skyscrapers too but I've got size 10 feet, and other than tranny shops, it's hard to find nice girlie shoes that size! Revel in your height... tis fab being tall, we get better air up here, nicer view too!

MehgaLegs · 08/02/2008 21:00

MrsMar check out my link to Lush - lovely heels and not a cross dresser in sight!

Beauregard · 08/02/2008 21:03

Those are nice Mehgalegs.

I also love the rocket dogs.

I wish i could stand tall and be proud ,sadly it would take years of CBT to achieve.

lubyluby · 08/02/2008 21:05

i'm about 5'10" and always wear heels. love being tall and often used to wish i was taller.

i have some lovely sheos from m&s autograph range
www.marksandspencer.com/gp/product/B00110JQ80/sr=1-2/qid=1202503168/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&node=55570031 &m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&keywords=&mnSBrand=core&size=9&rh=&page=

and these from asos

www.asos.com/Asos/Asos-Premium-Suede-Button-Shoe/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=220721&cid=4172&clr=Red&Rf -100=Heeled%20Shoes&sh=0

they are both really comfy to wear. i have to wear senisble flats or surgical clogs for work so liek to wear heels out of work.

i'm a size 8 feet!

Beauregard · 08/02/2008 21:07

wow quite impressive shoes.

WinkyWinkola · 08/02/2008 21:08

I love the Lush site. Just had a peek. Brilliant. Need never be without decent shoes again.

Why oh why can't shops go up to larger sizes? There are so many women (and men) whose feet are just big.

DualCylinderCod · 08/02/2008 22:09

no i went to put three boys to bed nad to eat!

hoxtonchick · 08/02/2008 22:45

i've got those clompy fly london boots & they're great. the heel's only a few cm. i am 1m73, not sure what this is in old money...

lilacclaire · 09/02/2008 08:43

C'mon Pelvic, there are loads of tall girls out there now.
Im 5ft 11" as well and the youngsters are catching up and overtaking big time! Im starting to feel 'small' at work!
I usually wear caterpillar boots/trainers at the weekend, weekdays is courts or smart black flats.
Nights out, well the higher the heel the better, shoulders back tits out

MAMAZON · 09/02/2008 08:50

Pelvic i know precisely how you feel.

i have recently gotten a lot of my confidence back and will occasionally wear heels BUT i do (until i get a bit tipsy) still feel as though everyone is staring at me and i feel like a big freaky tall person.

and without causing offence, it is easy for people who are 5'8-5'10 saying "i like being tall" " don't let it bother you" "there are loads of tall women" because they are tall for women

we are tall in every catagory. i go to a bar and i am head and shoulders taller than EVERYONE in there.

men will usually say "oh i like a tall girl" but being my size isn't at all feminine looking and is usually very intimidating to men (pathetic as i know that is)

So don't beat yourself up for not feeling comfortable in heels Pelvic.
not to mention its almost bloody impossible findig them for a size 9/10 which i am

isn't it though.

whats almost as annoying is when youget friends who are a size 8 (readily available everywhere now) who say "ooh these are quite big, you should try them on"

why? im a 9/10 NOT a big 8.

thats lie saying to a lady of size 20 to try on a 16 cos its "a bit loose"

sorry to hijack with my own rantings by the way

Beauregard · 09/02/2008 22:01

lol Mamazon i feel your pain.

I consider myself lucky to be an 8 (mind you the 8's always go first)
