The colour looks like it suits you well, and the fabric suits your vibe.

However I don't think it's as flattering as it could be with the curtain effect - looks as though there's not enough fabric to meet at the waist.

People never look as confident when they're standing pigeon - toed so I think that colours my thinking.

Won't you be freezing?!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 04/02/2023 18:27

I want to say yes... but also no. The first thing I do is look straight at your crotch.

You look like you have a lovely figure but I think overall this makes you look rectangular. The print is lovely though!

ClannadSinger · 04/02/2023 18:29

You are gorgeous and you have a gorgeous figure. It most certainly does not make you look huge. But, I don't really like the dress. That's just my opinion tho. If you love it. Wear it.

ethermint · 04/02/2023 18:29

would be gorgeous without the split down the front! I'm not sure it's flattering as is.

PandasAreUseless · 04/02/2023 18:44

It's cool and quirky and youve got a great figure.
But I think the shorts look too snug around your thighs. And the contrast between the heavy black shoes, long fabric and bare flesh (in Feb) is too stark.

OhIdoLike2bBesideTheSeaside · 04/02/2023 18:47

I absolutely love the fabric and if it was a maxi dress then absolutely yes but it looks a bit strange with the split then the shorts which as someone else said, look a little tight it's more a beach cover up than an outfit for a night out but you have a lovely figure it's just not a great design.

blebbleb · 04/02/2023 18:51

It would be great as a maxi dress and really suits you. But the lower half is unflattering. It wouldn't suit anyone.

Aljb02 · 04/02/2023 18:56

Thank you everyone I appreciate it 😊

You have a great figure, face and hair. I don't think that dress does much for you. It's the open front thing. I just don't think it suits you and think you could do better with something more conventional in terms of cut. If more unconventional is your style, you could choose vibrant colours and accessories

TurtleTriplets · 04/02/2023 20:01

Agree with everyone else you are gorgeous, lovely figure but that dress wouldn't be flattering on anyone. The colour is good on you though.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/02/2023 23:37

Sorry, but it's absolutely horrible. You're very pretty and could look gorgeous, but I don't think that outfit would look nice on anybody.

RhadamanthNemes · 05/02/2023 03:14

Does it suit you?

Yes. I think it suits you

Do I like it?

No. I don't like it.

Does it make you look huge?

No. It doesn't. You are obviously about 5' 3". And a size 10. That's not huge.

It's not tiny.

But it's not huge.

Quitelikeacatslife · 05/02/2023 04:23

I think you can do better for 40th. If you've already bought it you might wear it in summer with sandals ? If you can take it back then I would. You'd look nice in fitted short dress with long sleeves , bit body con, boots would look fun then

Mamaneedsadrink · 05/02/2023 04:29

I really like it, but I'd pair it with some sexy feminine heels

TolkiensFallow · 05/02/2023 09:04

The colour and pattern are nice but it looks odd in the shorts area. I don’t think it does you credit and you could look phenomenal in something else. What about a jumpsuit?

D20 · 05/02/2023 09:42

Too beach for winter and in a bar for me sorry. If you are stuck on shorts what about some plain ones worn with tights?

TheDead · 05/02/2023 09:45

I'm sorry OP but that's a horrible dress. I have no idea where you would even wear something like that!

It's unflattering & cheap looking. I.hope you'll be able to return it & get something nicer.

You have a nice figure & lovely hair & from what we can see you're pretty - you can 100% do better than this. Sorry if this is harsh.
