Hooded Sweatshirt

Hi, I'm after a good quality hooded sweatshirt for travelling in, one that washes well.
I've bought a few just lately and they just don't seem to wash without becoming bitty.
Ideally one that will go with these trousers. Thanks.

Abercrombie & fitch essential popover hoodies are fab. Really comfy and good quality.

I always wear my Icebreaker hoody travelling. Merino wool. Currently had it 4 years, still perfect.

I agree, Icebreaker merino are fantastic quality. They are expensive but I am still wearing my Quantum hoodie from there that I bought 6 years ago. I have a small collection of Icebreaker hoodies that I have bought on offer in their sales over the years.

I always take the Quantum when I travel, it has great pockets, a good length and a zip for variable temperatures:

Another very good option is Dilling and they have 20% off this weekend, I haven't tried their hoodie but have the joggers that match this and have been wearing them a lot this winter:

The Dilling wool is organic and not chemically treated or superwashed so needs to be washed on a hand/wool wash setting in the washing machine with wool laundry liquid. Icebreaker merino is superwashed so can use regular laundry liquid.

There are pros and cons to both, depends what you want. The Dilling one might be a bit warmer than the Icebreaker one. But once you've tried merino you might never want a cotton or synthetic hoodie again!

The best one I got was from a music festival! Really warm as well. Sorry that's probably not helpful

I also like these We Norwegian merino hoodies that look less like outdoor gear. I have a couple, one that I bought from their shop in Norway on holiday when it was cold and another that I got from Alpine Trek:

These are really warm, wash well on wool/hand wash setting, look stylish. They use the same type of wool as Dilling, not supwerwash, but feel like a terry sweatshirt material. They are really warm hoodies.

I recommend Hari and the Gang. Their cowl neck hoody is unbelievably snuggly and washes really well.
