Dyson Dryer

I have recently purchased the Dyson dryer. My hair has become dry and straw like after drying, not the lovely swishy hair I was hoping for. Dyson states not to use product on hair before drying! That all I got from them. Any advice on what I’m doing wrong? TIA

Is it the Airwrap or the hairdryer? I have the hairdryer and I really rate it. I tried the Airwrap and it wrecked my hair as it curls from the ends first.

I don't like the dryer either, does something very odd with my hair and ends up rough like straw.

@IloveJudgeJudy It’s the dryer. Any tips?

I have the dryer - bought it from QVC on 4xEasyPay Instalments and free P&P
It is a huge investment and I didn't actuallly own a hairdryer .....

I have fragile menopausal hair that was falling out due to ill health last year . It has started to recover with TLC and hair supplement tablets .

I only bought it as my DD has long thick hair - she loves the Dyson, we have joint ownership but obviously she uses it more .

I use the comb attachment then the smoothing tool but on the cool settings only . It is really quick and lightweight .
I don't use products before , maybe a drop of the Liz Earle oil afterwards .

@70isaLimitNotaTarget. So no heat protector or anything? Maybe this is where I’m going wrong. I also have menopausal hair and have health challenges that affect it.

I sent mine back. I have fine straight hair and it dried it out and ended up in knots 😥

Don’t dry at a high heat; maybe two lights and from the roots. Dyson have a video on their website. Always use a heat protector. Use the wide ‘funnel’ and my fingers most of the time and the narrow one for the last few minutes. When I’m straightening my hair and using a brush at the end of the process I use it at the lowest airflow setting and hold the dryer quite near to thee hair, following the length of it.
