BFF Skin Perfector Alternative

twitterexile · 04/02/2023 11:03

Been using this for a bit from the Trinny range and love what it does for my skin BUT I am getting the occasional HUGE spot (we are talking boils here) from using it. Definitely this causing it.
Does anyone have a decent alternative that will brighten my skin which will not cause me to breakout? For info I am 52 and my skin is getting drier although I can still get a shiny t-zone.

Eborian CC cream

LadyOfTheCanyon · 04/02/2023 20:05

Do you use it for the SPF or the 'perfecting' effects?

You could give the Maybelline 4 in 1 Glow foundation a go, seems to do the same kind of thing?

twitterexile · 04/02/2023 20:23

I use it as a skin brightener which is does well - my skin looks better a bit glowy. The SPF is a nice added bonus but not essential.
If the Maybelline is a proper foundation rather than a base it wouldn't work for me as don't use foundation at all, just a little concealer here and there. Thank you for the suggestion though.

The Erborian cc cream looks like it might be a good plan - any one in particular?

Bare minerals complexion rescue is amazing, very glowy and spf 30. And lots of shades.

I’ve bought Erborian cc recently and was disappointed- I have olivey skin and got the darker shade “Dore” but it was very orange.

Go for the iconic CC cream, I'm fair and use the light shade. When I use fake tan I just use an illuminating primer as I find the darker shade a bit orange. If you don't like it you can send it back and they refund you

Just been reading about the CC and the BB creams from them - both sound good. Will also take a look at the BM complexion rescue.
