If you were going to get rid of all your eyeshadow palettes...

...and just have ONE really lovely one, what would it be?

I only ever wear brown/bronze tones and I'm on the lookout for a really good eyeshadow pallette with a mix of nudes and some shimmery ones (not full on glitter)

I have so many cheap palettes, most of them Makeup Revolution, that I never use that are gathering dust and I'd just like to treat myself to something that feels a bit more luxurious.

I've had the Naked palette before but to be honest I can't remember what the pigmentation was like or how long the shadows lasted.

Also if anyone has any recommendations for a good eye shadow primer and concealer for pale skin I'd appreciate it! I've never really used concealer but have switched to a lighter coverage foundation so it's definitely needed.

Eyeshadow primer I'm using at the moment is the MAC painterly paint pot but don't really rate it.

I only have one eyeshadow palette, nothing else.

This nude Urban Decay one.

slamfightbrightlight · 03/02/2023 10:08

Another vote for UD naked - mine is quite old now but still going strong and lasts all day

Polarbearyfairy · 03/02/2023 10:43

Anastasia Beverly Hills all the way, best quality palette I've had. I've got soft glam but there are others.

Alarae · 03/02/2023 10:44

My go-to is the original Naked palette. I do also have Naked 2 somewhere but the colours are not as good a match for me.

Okaydonkey · 03/02/2023 10:45

Pat McGrath does the absolute best eyeshadow palettes.

Although, wait for a sale there’s several each year.

BawRamEwe · 03/02/2023 11:56

I absolutely love the colours in Naked 3, but not sure how long wearing they will be as my Naked 1 palette didn't last all day.

Can you get Pat McGrath in shops or is it online? Think I might go to Boots or Fenwicks to look at the beauty counters so I can see the colours in person.

I am so tempted by a Charlotte Tilbury palette but have heard mixed reviews with the quality (I easily fall for the pretty packaging!)

Also, I'd like a palette where the case won't break easily, every eyeshadow palette I own cracks and the top breaks off (I'm looking at you, Makeup Revolution!)

Pat McGrath is in Selfridges, but you can order on line. Lots of swatches of her stuff online.
High pigment, no creasing- truly superb quality. But… it’s possible you’ll have to buy to try and it’s also not cheap.
I can vouch for to robustness of her palettes and even the small ones which are in non plastic packaging are tough.

I have a nice little Bobbi Brown one, with a nude pink for sweeping over brow bone & some brown shades. It feels more grown-up than my other make-up. It gives a lovely finish.

weleasewoderick23 · 03/02/2023 13:35

I have an ELF one that is a dupe for the original naked. I can attest that it's just as good, I use it daily and it's lasted about a year so far.

BatFaceGirl · 03/02/2023 13:41

I like the MAC palette Nude Model from the Art Library range. Full size shadows, pigmented/long lasting and a mix of matt/shimmer. Plus the palette is sturdy with a massive mirror. It’s big tho - one for using at home not out and about.

It gets put into the MAC treats sale at half price quite a bit too so worth watching out for that.

I have this one which I absolutely love. Can do so many looks with it and the pigments are brilliant. They do different sets as well if you don't like the pinks.

This one - stolen from DD & use it almost daily.

It has everything I need for daytime & night out looks.

No glitter but on the very rare occasions I want a glitter DD has hundreds of palettes!

I really don't rate the naked pallet - I have 3 of them and rarely reach for them.

My go to pallets for eyeshadow are always Tarte.

I hate my Charlotte Tilsbury Quad it has no colour payoff at all.

I do like the Anastasia ones and have a few Morphe ones but I always go back to the Tarte.

For eyeshadow primer I always use Urban Decay Primer potion in Eden.

I can't believe you have posted this, I was umming and awwing over a Charlotte Tilbury one or Naked 3 😂 as they were the perfect colours!

I will have a look at Tarte (as well as all other suggestions)

Does anyone have any experience with Too Faced palettes? Found this and I love it.

I have that palette, and I LOVE it. I have a second, new one waiting in the wings so that I don't ever have to go without. I find it so pigmented, and so gently flattering. Love it.

I've got this www.iconiclondoninc.com/collections/eyeshadow-1/products/smokey-eye-goals little Iconic London pallet. I also have a much larger one from the same brand, but the colours seem to be slightly different in the one available online to the one I have, so it must have been updated.

The pigment is really good. Subtle shades, but last all day on me, which many others that I've tried don't seem to.

GordonShakespearedoesChristmas · 03/02/2023 19:10

I love my Morphe palettes. Good saturation and lasts all day 😊

Whatthediddlyfeck · 03/02/2023 20:17

This one by Mac. What made it even better was dd used to work for Bobbi Brown so I got it for half price! A lot of make up was stock piled when she handed in her notice!
