Does anyone use Color Wow?

I went down the rabbit hole on tik tok and bought the raise the root in marks and Spencer at the weekend. I have also ordered online the volumising hair mousse and the texturising spray.

So far, raise the root has done nothing. Not even a little bit of volume and this morning, I made sure I concentrated on my root area and used more product. Still flat.

Am I doing something wrong or have I just wasted £60 and all the products are rubbish?

I bought the Dream Coat. It was rubbish. It left me with damaged hair.

ironhelp · 02/02/2023 14:43

How did you use it? Is this the one that is best on dry hair?

Blindsandcurtains · 02/02/2023 15:38

You can use it on dry or wet hair. So they say.

I used the colour wow collection. Sticky and greasy. Not impressed.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 02/02/2023 15:54

I bought the volumiser. Absolutely useless. Didn’t give me the slightest bit of root lift. Complete waste of money.

ironhelp · 02/02/2023 18:26

Have you tried it on dry? I find it does work (wet or dry) but it made it look greasy and feel disgusting.

I have a few of their products. The kale one for less breakage is great.
I also have the one you spray on before washing to remove build up. And thought it done absolutely nothing.

SecretVictoria · 02/02/2023 18:30

I’ve only used the dream coat and I really like it. I have very thick hair though. I find if I use that before drying and styling, my hair will keep its shape (pixie) much better.

CrescentMoons · 02/02/2023 18:31

Take it back then not fit for purpose

OntarioBagnet · 02/02/2023 18:35

I really like the dream coat. I’m sure it probably just is shit which coats your hair.

SparkyBlue · 02/02/2023 19:21

I tried them and they did absolutely nothing for my hair

TheFoz · 02/02/2023 21:42

Dream Coat did nothing for my hair but I get great volume with Raise The Root. I have thick shoulder length hair.

LadyAstor · 02/02/2023 22:20

Funnily enough, i tried the volumiser for the first time tonight. It did nothing.

I darent use the dreamcoat after i read that it stays in your hair for FOUR washes! What the hell is in it?

I really do think its style over substance.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 02/02/2023 22:46

I love DreamCoat, I've got a lot of fine bleached hair and it works really well on it.

The Kale serum works for me too. Havent tried any of the others.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 03/02/2023 12:35

I’m on a Dyson airwrap group on fb and everyone raves about the Colour Wow range, glad I haven’t splashed out now.

Magenta65 · 03/02/2023 12:38

Think it depends on your hair. My sister had bleached long naturally curly hair and loves the range. I’ve got thick straight hair that doesn’t really like the range apart from the quick blow dry spray

Moanycowbag · 03/02/2023 19:34

I love the dream coat, I have fine wavy hair that pouffs and sticks out at the mere mention of moisture in the air, but I can go in a little drizzle and my hair stays smooth, I have some of the volumising stuff, I like the liquid cocktail stuff the mouse is meh but still ok.

olympicsrock · 03/02/2023 19:36

I have the powder to colour roots. Fantastic stuff

MyFavouritePlace · 03/02/2023 19:55

Agree the root cover powder is great. I can at a pinch run to 6 weeks between tints.
