Tiffany necklace or something else

It’s my DD’s 18th birthday soon. I’d like to get her something that she can keep.
I’ve been looking at the Tiffany necklaces, the return to Tiffany hearts, that are around £280.

She knows the Tiffany brand so would appreciate a piece.

But I’m also thinking are they a bit naff?
Her birth stone is diamond, so could buy her her first piece of diamond jewellery.

Am also considering having my late Mum’s engagement ring checked for the stone being a diamond and if so, having the stone set into a silver locket.

Any thoughts please? Budget is £300.

@NameChangedForThissss thank you. The keys are nice, they look very dainty.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget that’s a nice thought actually. I could give her it for her 18th anyway, and she can choose to wear it or not.
It just seems a shame that the ring is sat in a box when at least the stone could be enjoyed.

Thanks for the advice re metals @Anonmousse. The necklace you have pictured is lovely!

Silver looks a bit cheap.

Total fucking nonsense.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie I did think that! I only wear silver jewellery apart from some gold plated/vermeil pieces I have.

I never think that my jewellery looks cheap, and to be honest I can’t tell the difference between silver and white gold.

Also, posters saying about silver tarnishing, I clean my silver jewellery and never have had a problem with tarnishing.
Also it can be stored in anti tarnish fabric inside jewellery boxes. I really think this helps.

I cleaned all my silver jewellery (I have a lot) with a little kit I bought from a jewellers and it all look beautiful.

I got a local jeweller to make DD a set of 3 silver bangles - 2 plain and one set with 18 diamonds to match a similar set I have in gold
They were about £300 - although it was a few years ago
picture is of mine which only have 12 diamonds so DDs are obviously closer together
