Side stones engagement ring

Just looking for opinions.
looking at engagement rings and have decided I want a trilogy ring (lab created).
Now i don’t know whether to go with side stones or not?
im conflicted as I love the bling of the side stones but then think the simplicity without works well and could distract from the main stones?
are there any pros and cons to side stones vs no stones?

I like both, but if you go for diamonds on the band go for a scallop setting it's a lot more flattering than a channel setting which can make the stones look small and the band look chunky.

My personal choice would without the stones on the band. They do add more sparkle but for me they detract from the main stones.

I’m a with vote , but biased as mine has them from nearly 35 years ago has them and I still love it today .

Without - I think stones round setting or to side will date

Love love love trilogy rings !! But wouldn’t get side stones on them, personally I think it looks a bit much.

I’ve got my eye on these….

This was my engagement ring from my ex-husband (well I chose it !) was so sad to get rid of it, but it held to many sad memories (DV)
